Hi Little Solider,

I am far from an expert on this subject, and Wikipedia is far from a reliable or good source in general, but the general summary (supported by links, some of which are trustworthy) found here about the persecution of the Ahmadiyya sect (this is the sect user Planten belongs to, which is considered heretical by mainstream Islam) should give you a good starting point to researching what can happen to those who claim to be Muslims but are outside the main Sunni/Shi’a sects.

Nobody made mohamad the “seal of the prophets” except mohamad himself, just like the same way he made himself a prophet of God.
Just to clarify, I think it would be more accurate to state that he tried to make himself a prophet of God. 🙂

Peace to all! 🙂

God bless! 🙂

And how do you know that jesus was son of God?? DidMmary tell you? Did Mary tell any one in exact words that Jesus was the son of God?? I hope not. It is not in the gospels.
It is all a words of some one’s mouth. I am writing this because you are doing same thing by saying that Muhammad became prophet by his own words.

Please know that The Quran was revealed on the heart of Muhammad by the angel gabriel. it was revealed to Muhammad.

I am sure you also believe in revelation, and communion. But in case of Muhammad, you forget all good rules. You forget that God communicate with people.

Jesus was just another man to whom God spoke through the holy spirit. That was just like God spoke to Abrahjam and Moses and Muhammad. You cannot have two ways. i.e. a good way for yourself and a bad way for the Muslims. Muhammad authenticated the prophethood (meesengership) of Jesus and John the Baptist. Muhammad certified from God the prophethood of all prophets.

If Muhammad did not authenticate, nobody would have known Jesus or John. But we know that you people have no real regard for Jesus. Youa re only using the name of Jesus. In fact you are the followers of the enemy of jesus. That is creating a big problem between the understanding of Muslims and christians.

I’d love to know the answer to that one, too! Why don’t they trash St. Peter, St. James et al the same way they trash St. Paul? St. Peter and St. James both have epistles in the NT and both obviously believed that Jesus is God, but I’ve yet to see a Muslim make such derogatory comments about them. 🤷
We Muslims have nothing against peter or James. But we have all the reservations against paul who was an utter enemy of Jesus. He had not spent even one day in the company of Jesus. How come he became the greatest disciple. Most of bibleNT belongs to paul, not to jesus.

Christians are indeed acting on the advice of Jesus i.e. Love thy enemy.

Jesus appeared to St. Paul. Afterwards, the Church recognized that he was a true Christian and blessed his missionary journeys. His teachings did not differ from the teachings of Jesus or of the other Apostles.

OK, say I’m a Muslim and I suddenly believe that a prophet has come after Muhammad. That takes me outside the fold of Islam (according to you). What happens to me? I mean, are there any repercussions? Am I shunned or anything like that? Does anything else happen to my family and myself?

This is a serious question.

Peace to all! 🙂
Yes, LS, it is a serious question. The Muslims believe that no prophet of any kind will ever come after Muhammad. But they still believe that Jesus himself will come in later days to break the cross and to make an end to the church teachings. That is what they believe. Any one who will try to declare to be prophet, the Muslims will kill him. They are so much against prophethood.

But they have many problems. What I described was the condition of present day Muslims. This is an important special subject which cannot be described briefly in this thread.

The very early Muslim scholars did not believe what the present day mullas are preaching. The very early great scholars understood that now new law bearing prophet will not come to replace the law brought by Muhammad. Now no new or old prophet will come, the way Allah used to send the prophets. Previously, there were direct prophets, sent by God. Now, no new prophet will come except any one who is recommended by prophet Muhammad. That prophet will be sub-ordinate to Muhammad and will act on the law brought by Muhammad.

Muhammad had told about the coming of son of Maryam (symbolic name). He said that Ibne Maryam will come and he will be a prophet of God.

It is true that mainline Muslims consider Ahmadis as outside the line of Islam. That had been the general consensus. But Ahmadis, even though much opposed and persecuted, have caught up with mainline Muslims and even overtaken them too in many ways. They have a full time TV station working, broadcasting for the last 17 years and they have the books of their Messiah (the promised Messiah). Thos ebooks are about 80 in number and they are written in Urdu, Arabic and persian, available on the net, mostly translated into English.

What is the end result?? It is exactly the same as it was for the First messiah, the son of Mary. As he was denied by teh Jews, the present Messiah is also denied by the Muslims, and so the struggle goes on. The Ahmadis have their own website. It goes to the credit of the Ahmadis that their leader (Mr. Ahmad) told the Muslims not to fight for religion. He clearly preached in tough words against Jihad. That was 120 years ago. For that he was abused by all the Mullas. They said he was a british agent.

But see the result today, the bad affects of the teachings of Jihad all over the world.

If hamba or any one else has written against Ahmadis, he is right. He has described the correct position. Generally, the Muslims are very tough against teh Ahmadis. In pakistan, a few Ahmadis are being killed every month even now. they are not allowed to pray in public. They cannot build a mosque… It is long story. i know all about it. hamba is right in saying that Ahmadis are outside the pail of Islam. That is true. It is like something you may say about the mormons or the JW’s.

There are a few important basic points of disagreement between Ahmadi Muslims and the mainline Muslims:
  1. The Ahmadi Muslims have a leader whom they listen to and they obey him.
The mainline Muslims do not have any single leader (imam). They are divided into many sects, opposed to each other. If those sects are united on any point, that is the opposition to the Ahmadis. they are all one on that point to oppose and finish teh Ahmadis.
  1. The Ahmadis believe that a messiah or Imam Mahdi was promised by the prophet Muhammad. That messiah was to be a prophet of God. Their leader claimed to be that Messiah and Imam.
The mainline Muslims deny that he is the messiah promised by Muhammad. Otherwise they do believe that a messiah will come for the Muslims.
  1. The Ahmadis believe that only direct or law bearing prophets will not come.
The mainline (Majority) Muslims say that no prophet of any kind will come. But they believe that a messiah will come.
  1. the Ahmadis believe that Jesus son of Mary who was a messenger of God for the Jews had died a natural death at the age of about 120 years. he is no more alive and he will never come in this world again.
The mainline Muslims (most of them but not all) believe that Jesus son of mary did not die. He is still alive in the heavens or sky. That he himself will come again in this world to help the Muslims fight against enemies of Islam.
  1. Ahmadis believe that the messiah for the Muslims will come (and has come). That he is also the Imam al Mahdi.
The mainline Muslims say that Messiah has not yet come. that Messiah will be a different and separate person to Imam al Mahdi.

Now I reverse the writing. I place mainline Muslims first.
  1. mainline Muslims believe that Messiah will come to help an Imam al Mahdi. That Imam will be a bloody Imam who will not spare any life on earth.
The Ahmadis do not believe that such an Imam will ever come in this world.
  1. The mainline Muslims believe that Allah does not talk any more. That there will be no more wahi (revelation) of any kind.
The Ahmadis believe that common type of wahi (Not part of any sacred book or Quran) will continue amongst mankind till the lst day. They believe that their leader received such wahi (Communion) for about 30 years. All that he got from God, he got it written down. It is available in book form in Urdu and English.
  1. The mainlkine Muslims believe that Muhamamd is the last prophet.
The Ahmadis believe that Muhammad is the last law bearing prophet.
So there are serious differences of beliefs. may be few more could be found/ mentioned…

Planten, is your mind stuck? Can you think?

I asked you if you believe me when I say “I believe you Planten. I believe that you are a gay living in the streets of Amsterdam serving male customers”.

I BELIEVE YOU PLANTEN.

And I believe whatever your parents and friends say about you are FALSE. They are only using your name. In fact they are your enemies and are creating a big problem between us. I know this because it was revealed to me. Don’t forget that you always communicate with me.

PS. A man who claims to know another but refuses even to acknowledge him by his only name is a liar. And what is the name of God? - YAHWEH.

(Don’t you love your enemies?)

Um, actually your statement is extremely illogical. If you are referring to time spent with Jesus when He was on this earth fulfilling His mission before He ascended into heaven, then you are correct in stating that St. Paul was not in his company.

So what? You can say the same thing about anyone who was born after Jesus ascended into heaven. Are you saying that St. Paul couldn’t love, trust, honor, and follow Jesus? Why couldn’t he?

I love, trust, honor, and follow Jesus. Are you saying it’s impossible for me to do so? Look at all the Christians in these forums. Every single one of them is following Jesus.

You are correct when you state that Paul was an utter enemy of Jesus. He hated Jesus. He did everything he could to discredit Jesus.

That is, until Jesus called to him and said "Paul, Paul, why are you persecuting me??

I have a strong feeling that you won’t bother reading what I am posting next, but I’m going to post it anyway. Why don’t you actually try to read it?

"And Saul, as yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, and asked of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues: that if he found any men and women of this way, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. And as he went on his journey, it came to pass that he drew nigh to Damascus; and suddenly a light from heaven shined round about him.

And falling on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? Who said: Who art thou, Lord? And he: I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. It is hard for thee to kick against the goad. 6 And he trembling and astonished, said: Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

[Acts 9:1-6, Douay-Rheims Bible]

And from that time on, Paul (Saul is another spelling of his name) followed Jesus, defended Jesus, taught about Jesus.

That is the Word of God. That is TRUTH. And it shows more than Paul (Saul) being converted. It shows that JESUS IS GOD.

Peace and joy to all! 🙂

“Did Mary tell you?” Ha ha, that is so funny! Here you say that God communicates with people. But then you get all upset about Paul, to whom God communicated!

And who is the Holy Spirit? Is the Holy Spirit God? Or is He some sort of fax machine or telephone that God uses to communicate with His disciples?

One thing that is creating a big problem between Muslims and Christians is that you are accusing us of having “no real regard for Jesus.” That is really arrogant and nasty! I would DIE for Jesus.

You don’t even use an upper-case letter when you type “christians,” yet I use an upper-case letter when I type “Muslims.” That is because I love and respect you. Yet you show no love or respect in return, not to Christians and not to Christ.

Peace to all! 🙂

Really. I haven’t mentioned St. Paul in any post I have written on this or any other forum in my entire life.

That being said, Paul is in heaven, in God. He is a saint. There. Now I’ve mentioned St. Paul. Well, actually I guess I mentioned him when I said I hadn’t mentioned him. :whacky:

So do you guys ever answer the serious questions that are put to you? I’m asking because, although I haven’t been participating in this thread for very long, I have yet to see a serious response from a Muslim. All I’ve seen are confusing quips.

Peace to all! 🙂
The Bible says:

"The law of the LORD [is] Perfect, converting the soul: …The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes."Psalm 19:7-8

And “Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always.”Deuteronomy 11:1

And “For verily I (Jesus) say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”Matthew 5:18-19

However, Paul says in Romans 7:6 that the law is dead. He further says in Galatians 3:13 that the law is a curse. In Galatians 3:10 he claims that those who labor under the law of God are under a curse. And he claims in Hebrews 8:13 that Gods covenant is old, decaying, and ready to vanish away.

Christians are therefore inadvertently paying homage to Paul every time that they eat pork or blood since Jesus (pbuh) himself NEVER consumed pork or blood and neither did he permit any of his followers to do so.

In other words, Christians willingly follow the teachings of Paul and other Church leaders, NOT the teachings of Jesus (pbuh).

Thank you for your answer. I have become very frustrated with trying to communicate with the Muslims who are members of this forum. And that is partly because I still have much to learn about Islam.

But what frightens me is that I see violence directed at those people whose religious beliefs don’t agree with the majority.

As a Christian, I would never believe that killing a Mormon or a Jehovah Witness would be correct. No Christian would think that it would ever be OK to kill another person for their religious beliefs, unless that Christian is insane. If a person believes it’s OK to kill other children of God, that person is not a Christian. I can pray for Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses. I can talk to them and try to tell them what Catholics believe. We are all children of God, even if we disagree about religion. It saddens me to read that Ahmadis are being killed and persecuted in other ways. That is just not right and it doesn’t follow the teachings of Jesus (and I have a feeling it doesn’t follow the teachings of Muhammed, either).

It’s sad that we are supposed to be so smart and so civilized and yet people are still being persecuted.

Peace to you…

In my opinion, there is no Jesus vs. Mohammad…the latter is totally irrelevent to me personally.

If you start with Genesis you will read that the Most High is God.

Luke chapter 1:

30But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.

**31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.

32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High**. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,

33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”

**35The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. **

36Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.

**37For nothing is impossible with God.” **

The Bible says:

"The law of the LORD [is] Perfect, converting the soul: …The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes."Psalm 19:7-8

“And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ And he said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And he said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.’” - Acts 9:4-5 (Written by St. Luke, describing how Jesus appeared to Saul, later called Paul)

“But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and declared to them how on the road he [Paul] had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus” - Acts 9:26-27 (describing how Paul met the Apostles in Jerusalem)

“For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you…” - 1 Corinthians 11:23 (a letter from Paul)

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas [another name for Peter], then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared to me.” - 1 Corinthians 15:3-8

“For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.” - Galatians 1:11-12 (Another letter from Paul)

"And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. - 2 Peter 3:15-16 (Paul’s writing declared to be Scripture)

In other words, Paul didn’t make his ideas up. Nor was anyone deceived by them. The Holy Spirit did not allow false teachers to rule or deceive the Church during the time of the Apostles, for they were too filled with the Spirit to believe false teaching. On the contrary, the Church, when the Apostles were with it, was as godly and pure as could be. They saw the radical change that took place in St. Paul’s life, and they recognized what the Lord had done for him. He did not teach anything of his own making; he taught whatever Jesus wanted him to teach, through the guidance of the Spirit. The Church recognized these things and blessed his ministry. Paul was highly educated, brilliant, and a great writer; this is certainly why God chose him to be a major contributor to the New Testament.

The one thing on CAF that can united Catholics, Orthodox, Anglicans, Lutherans, and evangelicals—ISLAM! 😛

And on the next day, whilst they were going on their journey and drawing nigh to the city, Peter went up to the higher parts of the house to pray, about the sixth hour. And being hungry, he was desirous to taste somewhat. And as they were preparing, there came upon him an ecstasy of mind.

**And he saw the heaven opened and a certain vessel descending, as it were a great linen sheet let down by the four corners from heaven to the earth: Wherein were all manner of four-footed beasts and creeping things of the earth and fowls of the air.

And there came a voice to him: Arise, Peter. Kill and eat.

But Peter said: Far be it from me. For I never did eat any thing that is common and unclean.

And the voice spoke to him again the second time: That which God hath cleansed, do not thou call common.**

And this was done thrice. And presently the vessel was taken up into heaven.

How do you explain this?

Peace to all who seek to discover Truth! 🙂
