Jim Gaffigan discusses his anti-Trump twitter rant and the aftermath

His wife is practicing. He is a sacramental Catholic. His beliefs may run contrary to the church on several issues. His wife is the reason they used NFP.
 
I didn’t post that one originally, I had to remove the New York Magazine story I posted originally because it contained the F Bomb in print. I was trying to find a story with factual details because a lot of them are short/ edited. Also, while I’m not a big Distorter fan, they were less approving of Gaffigan than I would have expected in this case.

I also don’t care if you post from Remnant. If I think the story doesn’t hold up under scrutiny I’ll say so, but in this case there’s not much debate about what the guy said in his initial rant and what he said in his subsequent follow-up.

I’ve always really enjoyed Gaffigan’s work. I’ve never known his politics, and it didn’t matter. He’s a comic genius.

Plenty of conservatives and Catholics criticize Trump. Yes, it is unfortunate that Jim went on a bit of a tirade. People have bad days, tough times, and it looks like Trump finally hit the trigger for Jim. We are all capable.

Donald Trump has his triggers hit also. We can forgive people when this happens, none of us are immune.

I am tempted here to use the “audience reaction voice”, that Jim uses to self-critique, and apply it to my own post here… 😁

Gaffigan is showing symptoms of COVFEFE-16 infection. The novel cofefevirus was discovered back in 2016 and is responsible for numerous oubreaks of TDS. He should self-isolate for a few months.

Well,JB and NP have given a pretty clear preview of what’s to come if Biden gets into office.After all they both profess to be ardent Catholics… which is meaningless in light of their politics…
 
Yeah but CNN should have immediately shut down and isolated instead of spreading it to so many otherwise innocent people…
 
A couple years ago he was in the middle of a brouhaha because he posted pictures of his kids at what he claimed was a gay pride parade.

Then he claimed his family was in the city for other reasons when a gay pride parade was being staged. And that’s why he took the picture to be funny.

Some of his fans didn’t think it was very funny.
 
First time I’ve heard Jack Kirby’s creation used in that context, but very appropriate.
