No.

Before the fall, we were like angels.
Angels are pure spirits.

Before the fall, God made Adam “from the dust of the earth” Adam was completely physical and then God breathed life (spirit) into him and made a very unique PHYSICAL creature.

We never were anything like angels.

Heaven and Paradise may be interchangeable. But heaven and earth are not.

God created the earth and all we see in it. Then he created man for the earth. On earth.

Eden was on the earth. This is why it’s entrance was guarded after the fall so that Adam and Eve could not return

This is why the Bible tells us exactly where it was. Two of the rivers we still know today and the third is most likely under the sea in the Persian gulf.

I don’t know where you get this idea that man was meant to reside in heaven or that Eden was not on the earth.

Do you take a very literal view of Job and then a very mystical view of genesis?
Our true home is heaven, Our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Phil. 3:20).

No.

Before the fall, we were like angels.
Except that humans have physical bodies.
Except that humans are able to be forgiven their sins.
Except that humans aren’t able to experience God immediately, but only through the mediation of their physical senses.

Shall I go on? 😉

Do you actually know what we are? The body is not the main factor in defining a human being, but its soul. We willbe LIKE angels once we get to heaven. And we will also be like angels once we get our bodies in the second resurrection.

Matthew 22:28,30 says, “Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.” (V.28). “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” (V.30).

The body is not the main factor in defining a human being
Perhaps, but it’s a critical factor. It’s what differentiates us from angels, for one thing. 😉

No, not in terms of substance! “Once we get to heaven,” we’ll be body/soul composites bereft of bodies. In the resurrection, we’ll be body/soul composites once again, while angels will continue to be pure spirit. 😉
Matthew 22:28,30 says, “in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” (V.30).
So, how can we understand this? How will we be “as the angels of God” if we’re created in a way that is substantially different? Ahh… what we need to do is read the Gospel carefully and intelligently! We’ll be “as the angels of God in heaven” in the context of what Jesus is talking about: we will “neither marry nor given in marriage”. That’s the allusion Jesus is making here! 😉

Indeed, we will be similliar to angels.

No the church teaches us our bodies. These ones you have now. Will be raised and glorified on the new earth.

Mary had her body and Jesus and Elijah and perhaps Moses.

No angel has a body or ever will.

This we are fundamentally different than angels. Revelation further clarifies this by clearly differentiating in every way between man and angels.

I guess you should look up the definition of similar.

Would I be correct in my interpretation of this passage to be proof of man and dinosaurs (Sauropod) living at the same time in history? Did my science teacher get it wrong?
No, your science teacher only repeated what he was taught. There is evidence of dinosaurs coexisting with modern humans.

Peace,
Ed

I guess you should look up the definition of similar.
Similar: resembling without being identical.
“a soft cheese similar to Brie”
synonyms: alike, (much) the same, indistinguishable, almost identical, homogeneous, homologous; More
comparable, like, corresponding, homogeneous, equivalent, analogous
antonyms: different
GEOMETRY
(of geometric figures) having the same shape, with the same angles and proportions, though not necessarily of the same size.

In what way can angels and humans be considered “similar”

We are not similar. We are distinctly different.

For instance, in no marriage, did you go to kinder? You just read that

So your saying since after this world no one will be married makes us similar to the angels. No. It doesn’t.

Earlier you talked about how we are created for heaven and lived their before and Adam was like an angel (Adam had a wife by the way).

We are not similar to the angels because we are physical. We always will have a physical aspect to our nature which means even in heaven we will be awaiting the resurrection to be made truly how God wants us.

And yes I finished kindergarten.

Its not me saying it, its the bible, and no Adam and Eve were not married.

Um, heavne and paradise are used interchangeably. There is not heaven and laradise and the Eden. Its all one place.
Quite false. Genesis makes it clear that the paradise of Eden was on Earth - it even provides a location, giving the river Euphrates as one of the landmarks.

Its not me saying it, its the bible, and no Adam and Eve were not married.
Really??

What kind of relationship were they in?
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
To be fruitful and multiply requires sex. They were married by God himself!
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his WIFE and they become one flesh.
25 **Adam and his WIFE ******were both naked, and they felt no shame.

Its not me saying it, its the bible, and no Adam and Eve were not married.
Are you insinuating, then, that Jesus was in error when he specifically used Genesis 2 to defend the indissolubility marriage between one man and one woman?

From the start your agression is noticiable. Even towards the OP with the “facepalm” picture and everything else.

You are so stubborn in winning an argument over the internet you forget you mission as a Christian, to act and try to do eveyrthing with love and as Jesus would do them.
Maybe I’m not as calm as Jimmy Akin when he explained the biblical unicorn
(Rhinoceros), but there is a very special group of Christians out there who will
ripely damn anybody who does not adhere to Creationist models such as this,
“man and dinosaurs together as proven in Job”, which will lead some rational
people to leave Christianity and become atheists. ALSO, also, there’s people
out there who NEED the Bible to say certain things, and will hold on to faulty
applications of texts such as Job, but when reality comes crashing in, they’ll
realize that the Bible isn’t 100% literal, maybe science has something. TWO
possible things happen then: 1) Christians will go on in the faith undisturbed
by facts and scholarly thoughts, or 2) will forsake religion in favor of science.

You speak of “LOVE”, well love sometimes has to be harsh. At least
I’m not afraid to say how foolish it is to use the Book of Job to prove
how Man and Dinosaurs lived together, for if I care at all, I will speak
out against such misapplications of Scripture.

And the aggression, Jesus was rather harsh, yelling at people, calling them
Sons of the Devil, and so forth, so don’t give me that “Oh Jesus is so NICE
and you’re NOT!” Sh’Tuff.
Regarding Egyptcians, they probably nver gotmout of the nile so cant blame them.
 uh, better English por fayvwa?

To ShynSup, expanding on Gorgias:
Agreed. Yet, hippos are well-known as one of the most aggressive.
Actually, they do – but it’s only the young (and therefore inexperienced) or desperate lion who attempts it. 😉
Again, it might help if you did some research. 😉
Because you mentioned them as “king of the jungle”. That’s some king, that gives a hippo a wide berth… 😉
Ask the Scriptural author; he’s the one who made the allusion to the movement of the cedar (not its size)… 😉
Even the romantic poet William Blake, armed with nothing but the Bible
and a little imagination, drew his conception of the Behemoth. Despite
not knowing for sure it was supposed to look like, his Behemoth still
resembles closely to the hippopotamus:

Who knows, maybe dinosours actually died before or not, the thing is the Earth is about 6000 years old and so dinosours could have been still alive when man was created and exiled from heaven.
Universe - 13.5 Billion Years Old
Earth - 4.5 Billion Years Old
Everything else you said, all refuted by science and upheld by irrational Creationists.
