Loud-living-dogma:
How public has he been in his support of abortion and fellow Democrats?
I mean of other “offenders.” If a priest knows a local parishioner is having an affair, is he obligated to deny him?
I believe so, yes.

Would you believe that at one time Biden didn’t even allow for exceptions?

I’m sure there’s a Latin proverb that would summarize this situation. Sadly I don’t know it though.

Those who believe they are without sin are the hypocrites.
I never worry about what observers think of me.
I am a sinful person. I am trying to do the best that I can.
Fortunately, I am blessed with confession, absolution, and the Holy Sacrament!!! Hallelujah! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hallelujah indeed! Did I say I was without sin? I’m certainly not, and thankfully I don’t take public positions that are diametrically opposed to my faith.
See the difference?

Yes I totally agree with you!
So the stance that “most” must have is “let God decide” or something to that effect, don’t you think? (I’m not implying that “most” means it is “right.”)

How is that different? We all are sinners.
As I said, I take care of my own sins.
Let Mr. Biden take care of his sins.
Let the Church grant Her priests the faculty to withhold the Eucharist from those who aren’t taking care of their sins.

In terms of your last point " some species of evading justice argument"
It nullifies the express first step in the process essentially taking the position it is superfluous.
The second is it should be his pastor. That nullified also.
I think you cannot think the two first steps are perfunctory and meaningless. Nor can we guess at the meaning. IF you take that position, then the action is succeptible to the charge it was a one time chance to bash the Dem candidate

I don’t know what they’re thinking. With the poor catechesis and upbringing of most people in the past fifty years, heaven only knows what people are thinking.

Pretty much what they always thought. There is less blind obedience today .

The article says it is supposed to be Biden’s pastor, and there is supposed to be a meeting first.
In this case, this was an out of town ambush in the biggest political race on earth.
I don’t think those criteria are intended to be superfluous.

But it seems the priest should be intervening like he did with Biden if we are to go by the opinions of this forum.

Free will.

Protecting the Eucharist from an unworthy person
I guess we all should abstain from receiving then…
The medicine of the soul does no good to the one who rejects Him whom the medicine is.
Pretty bold statement… seems to imply that you know the state of someone’s relationship with God… I’d refer you back to the litany of bible quotes against doing that.

I stand by my comments… I find it sad that some of our priests feel compelled to weaponize the Eucharist.

Don’t judge lest you be judged. The most misinterpreted and abused passage in scripture; most often by liberals.

We must judge in order to make a moral and rationale observation. What that passage is saying is that we are not to impute guilt.

Read Biden’s autobiography. He went to D.C. pro life democrat. He was given the cold shoulder by fellow dems and told to pick a side. So he did, compromising his faith so he could fit in. He needs to repent and God bless that priest for having enough backbone to deny him Communion. It may just get his attention some day!
