Actually, states with republican leadership are thriving in spite of the behemoth know as the federal government. What is happening in Western North Dakota is absolutely amazing. The Bakkan oil fields at night have a view from space that rival Minneapolis and Chicago.

Have you seen the number of people moving there and to places like Utah, Wyoming and Texas?

That’s the place to be!

Even swing-states have nearly 10 TIMES the economic growth of blue ones!

This election will be a referendum on the president and his failed policies. Romney doesn’t have a record because he’s never been president.

Mitt Romney has a massive lead among seniors even with biased polling and he is trending upwards.
Ishii really hit out of the park!

I think Romney will tonight too.

The question people will be asked:

Are you better off than you were four years ago?

I hope the bigger question is asked: if the president is reelected, will my one-year-old granddaughter and those like her be better off in 20 years when their personal share of the federal debt far exceeds the current $50,000+ that it is now?

That’s the burying!

Jon

To the old question “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” there are millions who answer “No” — but that’s all the more reason to stick with the party of mass dependency and supersized food-stamp programs. In other words, what conservatives think of as Obama’s “failure” — the moribund economy, flatline jobs market, underwater housing, general sclerosis — the Democrats see as a wildly successful expansion of the base. Or as Hilaire Belloc put it, “Always keep a-hold of Nurse / For fear of finding something worse.”

The middle class has still been buried over the last 4 yrs. From the mess inherited. Surely no one being objective would have thought the first 2 yrs of the Obama Administration would have been enough to dig us out of the worst economic mess since the Great Depression. And then along came the do nothing GOP Tea Party House which refused to come to the table and work with Obama. And a Republican minority in the Senate whose leader said the Republican main goal was to hold Obama to one term. And in an effort for that cause when there has been a 60 vote threshhold, they blocked things time and time again. I pray the American people see through this Republican agenda and charade.
It has got to be a man thing…trying to dig your way out of a hole. :nope: FYI - it doesn’t work.😃 (Doesn’t work when trying to get out of trouble with a woman either)

The middle class (& lower classes for that matter) should have at least seen some progress to getting out from under the piles, but instead the hole just keeps getting deeper.

Joe is the gift that keeps giving…I REALLY look forward to the VP debate with Ryan…and it’s true…the middle class income is shrinking…the middle class itself is shrinking…all due to Obama’s policies. Perhaps Obama shouldn’t have waited until now to focus on jobs…oh, wait…he still isn’t focused…on anything except reelection.
i am looking forward to the debate between Ryan and Biden also Yerusalyim!

it is the first time i agree with Biden - yes! the middle class has been buried the past 4 years! thanks for admitting that Joe. and you and Obama have done nothing in 4 years to help us get unburied!!! Obama keeps saying how hard he has fought for the American people. why have i not felt that then? he was so concerned about passing Obamacare and didn;t seem to notice that americans were losing their homes in record numbers and losing their jobs. america was in shock! meanwhile, our president did nothing. now that it is re-election time he is telling us his plans. i think he is 4 years too late!

The President is intelligent and well-spoken. He told America that we need to start making things again in this country, presumably with American workers. Obama has shown zero leadership to make this happen. Zero.

Right now, American corporations are hoarding money:

But hiring people and paying them money would affect the bottom line. So, Mr. Corporate America, are you just going to watch the debt increase while you hoard money and fewer and fewer people are going to be able to buy your products, including those made in China? Huh?

And what about gas prices, Mr. President?

npr.org/2012/04/11/150444802/where-does-america-get-oil-you-may-be-surprised

And who’s going to pay for the HHS Mandate, Mr. President?

And Vice-President Biden. What do Vice-Presidents actually do?

Peace,
Ed

Representative Ryan will need to guard against overconfidence. He may be tempted to skip the whole debate and let Biden defeat himself.

oh, i think Ryan wouldn’t miss the debate for the world!

In the press this is a game of keeping exptections low and then exceeding them. If Biden walks across the stage without falling down, Dem strategists will all scream, “Exceeded expectations.”

BUUUUUSSSSHHHH!!!

http://thepeoplescube.com/images/Bush_Fault.gif

(It’s all his fault!)

President Obama “inherited” a mess, and made it much, much worse in the long run.

So tell me, Mr. Genius, what type of budget did the President pass when he had a filibuster-proof majority?

What were his acheivements during this time? I’ll tell you: The Affordable Care Act, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The largest tax increase in history, and the most worthless “stimulus” the world has ever known. We spent 4% of our GDP for a net 1.3% GDP increase.

We spent $787 billion and netted 3.6 million jobs (over a decade, most haven’t been realized yet). Final cost: $218,611 per job.

Surely no one objective can look at the first two years (or even the first four) and state that the President did ANYTHING to improve the overall economy.

Obama FAIL.
I hope the president’s campaign and the media keep blaming Bush…

Remember, Biden was supposed to mop up against Sarah Palin. But Palin did better than expected and that was what was talked about after. I would caution against being overconfident going into the vice presidential debate.
