Joe Biden vowed to implement a national mask mandate during his Democratic National Convention nomination acceptance speech on Thursday.

“We’ll have a national mandate to wear a mask,” he said.

Biden linked wearing a mask to being patriotic.

Last week, Biden called for mask-wearing while Americans are “outside.”

“Let’s institute a mask mandate nationwide,” he said.

“Every single American should be wearing a mask when they are outside for the next three months at a minimum,” Biden said. . . .

We are mask mandated but dont have to wear one at home . It is a strategy that is helping defeat this current Covid surge.
It is irresponible to make fun of those wearing masks. I bet if you guys will find yourselves in situations where you are grateful for madk wearers.

The Democrats want to defund police, end nail/ bond, and close prisons. I can’t imagine who in law enforcement will have a free moment to come after people who don’t wear a mask outside.
The way to get Americans to take mask wearing seriously is to make sure it makes sense. A mandate that requires one to wear a mask in their yard, riding a bike, on the beach, hiking a trail is silly.

We have a mask mandate here, its no biggie, it is nothing to get worked up over. Some people cant wear a mask and are exempt.

Stopping this virus should come first, regardless who wins your election.

I dont live in USA so no skin off my nose. What is your problem with wearing masks to stop the covid spread?

I have no issue with wearing a mask. I do it every day at work, and in every business I frequent, as well as at Mass. I generally don’t care for federal mandates (which would see constitutional challenges anyway) across a variety of 50 diverse states.

What are you trying to say then? You dont want someone telling you to wear a mask?
 
A national mandate across the United STATES of America? No. We are not like most other nations. We are a federated group of diverse states. Let the governors do so if they wish.
