But Kerry’s 2004 campaign was comedy gold. I can still here him asking “can I get me a huntin’ license here?” in Ohio.

Or showing up in Steubenville to campaign and being surprised that there were young Catholics protesting his appearance. 😄

So he’s not your guy if you’re a single issue candidate and that issue is abortion.
I’m not a single issue voter (not candidate), but abortion is the top layer on my pyramid of issues. There are other issues on which I disagree with most Democratic candidates.

D

But if one is asking the question as to which candidate is most likely to win, the question shouldn’t be posed as “What issues will lead me to reject that candidate”, but rather “What issues will lead a large number of voters to reject that candidate?”

One of the problems I see here is something of an unwillingness for posters to look past issues like abortion, and see the bigger picture. It’s one thing to have a debate about whether any individual poster to vote for or reject a candidate; that’s a persona decision that one can justify and defend. But if we’re asking a big question like “Can John Kerry beat Donald Trump?”, well then you have to look at the voting population as a whole, and while there is division in America about abortion, I simply don’t see much evidence that abortion is a deciding factor. If it was, there wouldn’t have been a Democratic president elected in the last there decades.

Kerry has more experience.
He has time behind DC desks, but I haven’t seen him show capable leadership in his roles.

As Sec of State, his biggest accomplishment was burning more jet fuel than any of his predecessors

His failures to perform, in no particular order:
  • Iran deal
  • Russia in Ukraine
  • Russia in Syria
  • Arab spring disaster
  • Ignored North Korea
  • TPP failed to get done
Kerry was an ineffectual globalist. He never really got to his objectives in good form, results should matter. For me the Iran deal stands out,

I don’t trust anyone in Public Office at this point. And I suspect there’s a globalist plot afoot. Nevertheless, it’s becoming even more clear that we’re a nation run by Oligarchs. Certain families and individuals continually meddling in our affairs.

None of this matters. It’s whoever can get a lot of free airtime between now and 2020. Let’s see now…

He does suck all the oxygen out of the room,
when it come to free media time.

I’d like to see ANY plan for Ukraine and NK.

Oh wait, there’s Dennis Rodman. 🙂

Are you talking about Kerry? He promised support for Ukraine but never delivered. That was sorta our thing under Obama, make promises and then look the other way.
And Rodman did more than Kerry with NK.

Trump is providing resources to Ukraine and has gotten China to step up with NK.

We’ll see after the Olympic Games.

Personally I think Kerry should have been there from the beginning. Much better than Clinton.

But he still carries baggage from 2004.

Obviously you think he was a good Sec of State.
Educate me on what he accomplished.

For starters he probably wouldn’t have pissed Putin off like Clinton.
