We would judge it as any crime. You could use the same argument with regard to murder. If the person truly didn’t think it was wrong, the person is insane, and should be institutionalized.However, if the woman believed (honestly and truly) that she was doing the right thing, then how do we judge it?
If the person claims they are ignorant of the law, well, wilful ignorance of the law is not an excuse. And if such a law were passed, there would be so much media coverage, that it would be practically impossible to not know about it.
