We all will be destroyed and the birds will pick our flesh as the JW’s take our homes and cars and stuff, and clean up the earth.

We will not go to Hell since, its not real.

We will just be picked to pieces and rot.

i didnt want to start a new thread for this but what is the deal with water and bread unstead of wine and bread for their communiton and who can acutally receive?
Wine and bread is used during the Memorial of Christ’s death, which is held once a year on Nisan 14th of the Jewish Calender.

Those who receive are those in the New Covenant…

It’s a whole other discussion regarding who’s in the New Covenant. But, to make a long story short… it’s not everyone like Catholics believe. It’s 144,000 people selected throughout history from Pentecost to our day.

If you’re interested in that discussion, please open another thread, or PM me.

Thanks,

Steve

I’m glad to answer your question, however, it’s off topic for this thread. Please open another thread or PM me with your question.

I’m just trying to be respectful to the rules here.

Thanks.

the weeper- if you are not a jw, you are not a believer. You are lost and your bones will be picked clean.

There are now 2 sets of watchtowers out there.

One for the baptised, one for the pagan heathens.

Up till recently, the watchtower was the watchtower.

Not anymore.

Why is that?
guess people are just not that into their old publications, and since they are running out of ideas, this is a new one to trap the unaware into their belief. yet more damage to be done to unsuspecting innocent sheep.

Only the annointed can partake of that “memorial” and its only offered once a year.

Its okay you mention it since Bible Steve is likely an elder and can help you find the truth about that one.
we all take Holy Communion every week, we don’t do it once a year. and every Catholic in good standing can take Holy Communion. we don’t have to wait once a year to do it, and we don’t believe in the anointed nonsense.

We can do it daily.😉

They do have new ideas I suspect. New leadership tends to do that.😉

QUOTE=BibleSteve, “JW critics don’t need any specific reasons to complain… they are simply fanatically driven to find fault with anything related to JW’s… If the WT and Awakes were combined into one magazine, they’d find a reason to be miffed.”

umm lets see, racial discrimination towards me from some of your so called faithful members, umm lets see, religious discrimination from these same members, attacking my mom and making fun of her because they thought she was a native,
umm lets see, one of your so called faithful members who has a daughter that i was good friends with, yes i was in the organization at the time, broke up my friendship with her because i was deemed to low and to poor to be friends with her precious daughter. and other humiliating things that i wont mention, and
did i tell you that all this is on the record at the hall where it happened? oh yes sir, the elders knew about the discrimination and did nothing to stop it. am i an opposer? yes indeed. for good reason because the society lies. so call me an apostate because i will publish true facts about your organization.

“When the Awake went from two issues to one each month there were howls from JW critics speculating all sorts of devious reasons”.

howls eh? NOT. we’ll shake our heads and say to ourselves, guess they don’t have anything better to do than to keep on trying to brainwash the innocent.

“Now, we simply want to split the Watchtower into two different versions with study articles in one and articles of more general interest in the other… Waaah… Waahh… hear the howls of complaint of secrecy and brain-washing, etc.”

the watchtower is a false publication that has no merit what so-ever. it is a tool of conversion that helps perpetuate and spread the deceit of the society.

“A simple explanation is provided and out comes the routinue… all the JW-critics flood the thread with their favorite anti-JW links complaining about anything and everything related to JW’s…(which of course are off topic for the thread).”

do you actually read those links? if you did and paid attention to them sincerely, and actually used your independent thinking apart from the society, i highly doubt you’d be able to stomach the garbage and lies the society keeps feeding you.

“Pretty soon, we should expect Jeff to show up and remind people he’s the President of his own special group and post his favorite links JWcritic links.”

Jeff is a fantastic person with alot of experience that you do not have. you should try listening to him some time. he knows what he is talking about.

"It’s a funny routinue.

Folks… they’re simply breaking out the study articles… Your overwhelming bias against JW’s is showing on such a simple change of format in another religions magazine… Big deal…"

your own organization has a bias towards catholics. your claws are showing stevie. your own organization despises catholics, so you saying we have an “overwhelming bias” is like the pot calling the kettle black because your own organization publishes hateful material about us. we are not fooled by your org and we never will be. especially not me. been there, done that, aint EVER doing it again my friend. no thanks! i will continue to show jw’s the door out of the society and right into our faith. that is my vocation. helping jw’s to come home to the TRUE FAITH the Catholic faith!
praise God!

the above quotation marks is steves post, the replies without the marks are mine.

most of the JW secret books are all hype. I have the elders manual and the pioneer book…it is not so much information that is secret but how it is organized. most of the stuff in the elders manual is irrelevant to the average JW anyway, stupid stuff, minutia. The Shining as Illuminators book for pioneers is insipid JW info-mercial quality designed to guilt you into re-upping. Not only do JWs have different doctrine, they have utterly different priorities. What they think is most important means absolutely nothing to anyone else.

Revelation claims that the 144,000 are from the 12 tribes of Israel. But, I’m a Gentile. Now what? Redefine “Israel”?

I always though it strange that JWs had more than 144,000 members long ago. So, why keep searching for more, and who’s not going?

Mormons seem to know that, if their faith is not true, the Catholic faith is the only other church that can be true. This might also be in the back of JW minds. It would explain the vociferous “attacks”, which Christ predicted.

The peace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

they believe spiritual Israel has replaced physical Israel and their members who are of the 144,000 are the spiritual Israel. they believe it was pretty much done by 1935 when they identified a second group as the Great Crowd of Rev.7:9 (even tho there are replacements for those of the 144,000 who died unfaithful that are ‘grafted in’ to the tree, like my father who believed he was one and was not even born until 1936…) Every year the numbers are eagerly awaited—reported in their Yearbooks for the number of the ‘remnant’ left—hovering around 6000–8000ish for the last 20 years. No one else is going to heaven. Paradise on earth forever.

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent”.

I think false beliefs fall under the umbrella of “sin”.

For clarities sake, it’s the LDS that use water instead of wine. For the JW’s only some 8000 can receive the elements of “the memorial” because they believe in a two tiered Christianity where only 144K get to got to heaven…the rest will live in a paradise on earth…and they seem to think that Christ invited us all to the wedding feast, but that only the special guests are allowed to eat and the rest only get to watch.

Ravyn has explained the “hidden” literature well.

In honesty I don’t believe there’s anything underhanded about the two different publications of the WT…it’s a marketing ploy is all. Same with the Kingdom Ministry…it gives the members a “sense of belonging” The AWAKE going to once a month…nothing more than a cost saving move…

Hey, Bible Steve, did you know the WTBTS has a budget three times the size of the Vatican’s?

What specifically are you referring to?
