As a means of humbling someone, you mean?

I agree that one can show anger and even utter disgust and we can decide not to be around people but we do still have to be careful not to be hateful and incite hatred. The tone of the last article seems to me to be a bit breeze block-head heavy.

That said, there is a time and place for standing up for rights, and tend to think that CK’s timing was possibly a bit out - is a country’s flag a statement about how things are or is it a symbol of its ideals/how things could/should be?

IMO, the prank that the ‘comedian’ pulled was worse than this.

I wasn’t really crazy about the tone either. My point was to show company she keeps (ideologically).

Remember that Kaepernick did more than not stand for the national anthem. He wore the pigs in police hats socks. He wore the Castro T-Shirt in the post game interview. Look at his website and see the organizations he supports in his million dollar pledge.

Griffin calls herself a “militant atheist”. She advocates many of the far left political causes he does. They appear to be cut from the same cloth.

I agree. Griffin and Kaepernick are both children of God just like me or anyone else. ALL human life has value and should be treated with the dignity that human life deserves.

That doesn’t mean anyone has to support their political position. I hope Kaepernick and Griffin can retire to comfortable safe home that meets all their needs. I hope they get all the calories they need to support their bodies in a healthy way. I hope they get all the medical care they need. But I also hope they never get high paying entertainment jobs again that they can use to advance their political causes. And I will vigorously defend that that is a Christian position.

Unless of course, their political stances, change.

You seem to know more about both of them. This info. is all I want to know. My interest level stops there, regarding their ideas.

I wonder what feast of goodies page 8 will bring! 🍿

The sad point is I believe she was raised Catholic.

How many posts do you allow per page? I am ready for page 12. Under your profile
you can select edit options to select how many posts per page.
 
I would think that none of us would wish harm or bad to anyone, wether we agreed with their political or religious beliefs.

I’ve never changed mine, so I just assumed the default setting was 15 posts/page. 🤷

Indeed! 👍

I actually find myself feeling sorry for people with so much wealth and celebrity that they seem to lose part of their humanity. I mean, sometimes when I see celebrities on the tellie, they seem unable to connect with others in a real way. And then you hear about how many of them are addicted to drugs and alcohol, and how many of them die of suicide are drunken accidents (driving, boating, etc.).

I wouldn’t wish that lifestyle on my worst enemy.

Having never changed my settings for posts, and mine coming up as 15 posts-per-page, too, it would appear that 15 posts is the default.

Currently, half-way-ish through page 8.

That is why then. I am on page 12 because mine is set for 10 posts.
 
I was thinking about the kind of lifestyle needed to purchase a home for five or ten million dollars.

Let’s say I win the lottery tomorrow and buy Ms Griffin’s house. Would my son and I really fit into that community? Probably not. Having the money to buy the house – and fancy car, and designer clothes, etc. – doesn’t mean I’m suddenly going to like those things.

There’s no real point to this post. Just thinking how content I am with my do-it-yourself, anything-but-glamorous life.

No it is the same size print.

A member can set it at 5-100 posts per page.
