Sure, you are making the assessment of his suitability based upon your judgement of his guilt, by presumption, in the assault.
Nope. You apparently are not following my posts.
I got lost in the sleight of hand.

Shell game…

…three ring circus…

…it’s all so confusing. 😩

The “FBI should investigate” is a total misunderstanding of the role of the FBI and proper legal jurisdiction.
This is from a deputy assistant attorney general in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy.

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/09/25/fbi-kavanaugh-allegations-220621
I served as a deputy assistant attorney general in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy. In the role, I supervised the vetting of about 300 judicial nominees and reviewed the FBI’s background investigation report for each nominee.
Ironic that an administration that has promoted extreme vetting of every immigrant that steps foot on American soil would not want it done for the most powerful office in the country.
Okay, then six background checks and a judiciary hearing for “every immigrant that steps foot on American soil” it shall be.

Kavanaugh has opted to be in groups whose record of misogyny is not constructed from isolated incidents but is documented and pervasive.
Apparently, misandry is now documented to be more pervasive than misogyny.

So your argument needs to now be reframed as: Ford has opted (gender is now a choice) to be in groups whose record of misandry is not constructed from isolated incidents but is documented and pervasive.

His poor wife and mother in the background.Heartbreaking.😔

It’s probably best for Kavanaugh that the public doesn’t have a vote in this. I mean this as no slight to him but I can’t fathom putting myself forward for any position related to the government at this time — not just because I’d be a horrible failure but also because our country has lost its mind. And to me, it doesn’t seem to matter if one is right, left, or independent. There’s a bloodlust sweeping the land.
Isn’t it amazing though that he stood up for what’s right!!! I am really proud of him that he didn’t backdown. He is teaching his daughters (and the world really) to not be bullied.

According to stats from the NCES
What are you propagating the pivot from career advancement to college attendance?
Given that female success is higher among whites, blacks and Hispanics,
What is success?
there seems to be a pattern of discrimination, no?
Possibly - in the widest sense of individual choice.
Young men and women are discriminating in their choices about career paths. It may be the case that more women choose post-secondarty education than men. Do you have evidence that men are discriminted aginst in admissions?
Never claimed that they were discriminated against in admissions. I am claiming that a prima facie case might be made that the reason a smaller proportion of boys vs girls enter college is because girls are advantaged and boys disadvantaged by the predominance of women in primary and secondary education. A kind of institutional sexism that mitigates against boys going on to college and privileges girls.

Your argument, that choices of career paths account for differences in male and female attendance in college, also applies to explaining the supposed gender pay gap. Perhaps women make choices to go into non-STEM fields that are more people oriented, but that are also less lucrative because the skill sets required are not as training intensive?

Do you have any familiarity with the literature on classroom dynamics in K-12?
Just as an observation:
Women are under represented in some STEM fields, but over represented in othersl

You mean besides my 30 years of lived experience as an educator?

There has been all kinds of “literature” published on classroom dynamics, mostly by individuals who never spent any time in any classroom and who couldn’t, in any case, account for or even begin recognizing the wide number of variables that would influence their findings.

Sorry to hear that your thirty years leads you to posit that women teachers are dissuading boys from going to college. Sad.

Defending yourself if you are falsely accused is not good?
There were important issues at play that transcended him and his appointment. He didn’t show awareness of that. I was educated by nuns who were the great examples of kenotic service. Kavanaugh didn’t show anything like that today today. Maybe he felt that he had to play to Trump.

Yes, luckily we have the FBI, recently led by such honest luminaries as Andrew McCabe, James Comey, and working hard in the trenches, Peter Strozk.

There is little we can trust in our government any more, sadly. The FBIs actions are apart of that.

This is a Catholic website, but what you are all too often doing is to ignore what the Church teaches in regards to both empathy and fairness. Please stop it.
Speaking of empathy and fairness, justly applied and not ignored…

The FBI has done 6 background investigations on him, over the course of more than 20 years and found nothing derogatory. How many bogus accusations need to be investigated before you would actually be satisfied?
You are prejudicing the case by claiming they’re “bogus accusations”, so it’s clear you have no desire to seek the truth, whatever that may be.
Let’s seek the truth then, shall we?

Ford needs to endure six FBI background checks in order for her credibility to attain the same level of credibility as Kavanaugh. Fair is fair, no?

Let’s get on that, shall we, for the sake of fairness.

Then we will not be unfairly stacking the deck in favour of either one because we will then know they are equally credible – or not – because they will have been equally vetted regarding their characters.

Will you call the FBI to suggest that, or shall I?
