You wouldn’t be supporting the Dems if you valued the last two of those things.
You claim that I am supporting ™the Dems.
What I support is people speaking honestly about what they actually know.

Maybe the issues are abortion, slander, and subverting governmental processes.
I certainly agree with you on slander.
And you may be right about abortion as well, but probably not for the reasons you have in mind.

Good, we already have that, 4 witnesses who know nothing about what Dr. Ford asserts. We have reached the truth. Senator Feinstein could have had an investigation weeks ago and all of this could have been behind closed doors not in public which makes it look like a maneuver to just prevent a hard working American from his rightful office.

Know nothing about what she asserts? Hardly.

We know, for example, from documentary evidence that Brett, Judge, and PJ, with others did have a summer of 1982 drinking party in Bethesda some months before Judge was working at Safeway.
We also know from statements of various kinds that Brett, Judge, and PJ have made statements ranging from denials that people read as covering every aspect of the story of every aspect of the story, to that ever handy “no recollection”.

I support accurate discussion of the available facts.

This conclusion, coming as it does – we suppose – from faithful Catholics, is astonishing.
Why? Is Kavanaugh’s back a bloody pulp from this hearing? Can he walk out without someone from the audience being compelled to carry his brief case? Does he have nail prints in his hand? Has he even been given the sign of the stigmata for his efforts?

I do not see how anyone could watch part of this hearing, and watch Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ and walk away say, “Yep, they were pretty much the same thing.”

You have no idea what integrity looks like, apparently.
Why the personal shot? You don’t know me and tour basis for taking a swipe at my knowledge of integrity is vanishingly small.
And, your credentials for taking a swipe at Kavanaugh’s integrity would be what, exactly?

Uncorroborated allegations?

You don’t know him and your basis for taking your swipes at his integrity have been “vanishingly small.”

Not exactly compelling.

Pot meet kettle.

According to your thesis that holding a position equals bias, shouldn’t you be charging CNN and Fox with a centrist bias?
No. That doesn’t even make sense. They are unbalance by being balanced, or biased by being unbiased.

I think it is not inappropriate, and in fact important as a citizen, to have an opinion of his testimony yesterday. I think that it is not inappropriate to express that opinion.

It is, however, a violation of forum rules to make personal attacks agains other posters.

I was going to report that, but decided I should take my own advice and not act rashly. So as I thought about it, I took the better meaning that he was claiming that you could not tell by looking that Kavanaugh was being honest. So, I will double down on Harry’s statement and say that I do not know what integrity looks like. It think the bigger problem are the people who think they know what integrity looks like, and think they can, by virtue of watching someone talk, or reading their favorite blogs, know who is telling the truth about what.

You are right. But I was really turned off by the performance of Kavanaugh yesterday. He had an opportunity to speak to the nation in ways that could heal and unify and in ways that gave a shining example of Catholic ethos. Instead he played to partisan hardcore and conspiracy theorists for whom - whatever the goal - winning is the measure of measures. He did not show an integrated and kenotic sense of the greater good for all. That is what I think integrity is all about.

Yes exactly exactly this could have all been handled behind closed doors.
And that certainly would have been much better for Dr. Ford as well.
Dr Ford is the new Norma McCorvey, in my opinion.
She is being used to advance an agenda.

Thanks for pointing that out.
Your welcome.

He was a perfect Christian gentleman and father.

He did a great job teaching his kids to stand up to bullies yet at the same time pray for them.

None of which the Democrats care about, apparently.

If they were so concerned, they would have acted much sooner. You honestly think they care?

And what will you say when certain involved refuse to talk to the FBI, as is their right? What then.

If they come back and have no more information to share, what will your stance be on Kavanaugh - yay or nay?

Hahaha! I am really shocked she has so many degrees. I definitely Don’t think she was prepared to be thrown into the national spotlight in spite of the high powered lawyers she was surrounded with.
More than once she had the deer caught in
the headlights look.

Of course. She admitted as much in her opening remarks. So?
