Correctly identifying his role in government and society is not defending him.Ok, I do believe calling him something along the lines of a national leader does sound like a defense.
No, if we were talking about an assassination attempt on Adolph Hitler, I would not argue against assassination by calling him a world leader. If one wants to think that is proper, fine. I don’t. We disagree.like a defense.
And we are in a war against terror and will be for some time.
But the claim was that ISIS was born when Osama died. When Obama took out Osama that was justice; when Trump takes out Soleimani that’s a crime?
That’s really a rude unkind thing to say here, let alone, derails the conversation. And is pretty off-topic.What makes Iran a “terrorist state” anymore than the USA?
One can say that about any agreement reached by the U.S.Obama tried a different tack, that turned out to be a failure.
Oil…it would be worth asking why the USA continues to support the Wahhabi government in Saudi Arabia
There are long lines at the local gas station with cars filling up before the prices rise overnight.Indeed. Watching the financial networks today, all I saw was what it will do to the price of oil. Sad.
Why? The United States bombs other countries with impunity, kills civilians in their hundreds, and indirectly and directly supports militant and extremist groups. The USA is directly responsible for the political instability in both Iraq and Libya, and now they’re trying to do the same thing to Iran. That’s really a rude unkind thing to say here, let alone, derails the conversation. And is pretty off-topic.
I have never said anything insensitive about religious persecution.I think if one goes to a forum and makes what seem to be routinely insensitive remarks as we saw about the persecution of religious peoples the other day, these things need to be taken note of.
There is value to the rule of law, notwithstanding the noises of the lawless.Trump has pretty clearly announced that this is a distinction without a difference.
Perhaps you would like tp document this.Obama and Hillary sanctioned the killing of a head of state. Crickets.
It’s been reported that the British prime minister was given no advance warning of the strike taking place. This is despite the fact that about one month ago the UK deployed 500 troops from the Irish Guards to an Australian army base 40 miles north of Baghdad. Tom Tugendhat, a British MP and former chair of the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee, who was also a lieutenant colonel in the British army and served in Afghanistan and Iraq, said: “I have long believed the purpose of having allies is so we can surprise our enemies, not each other.”I hope there was at least some consultation with our allies like the UK or France.
