I definitely believe this is not a fake.
If this thing popped up in the twentieth century I would have serious doubts about it, that is not the case at all.
The image is a photographic negative, even today there are no camera devices that can fit a film that size and…supposing the front and back are the same person there is no way to explain the necessary light source, the light would have to have come from within the body, or statue, mannequin or model. The piece of cloth itself is so old no one knows for sure how old it is. The theories concerning photography are rather recent besides, as a hoax this would be way ahead of known technologies.
It seems like some kind of thermoprint. The idea that it is like atomic radiation from inside the form seems to make sense. Yet there is no ‘hot spot’, the image is uniform from top to toe. The form, or body, would have been uniformly ‘hot’.
There is no way to prove that this is the shroud of Jesus, and there is no way to prove that this is an image of Jesus. But if it is not, then what could it be?
