Thanks to all for your (name removed by moderator)ut and insight.

I think this new age deception of kundalini goddess is something to avoid.

I dont think contemplative prayer as described by St Teresa of Avila is even remotely similar, but as she said is a gift given to holy peolple with devout prayer lives.

May God bless you all.
Agree totally…avoid at all costs the k-goddess, or any other false god(dess).

Indeed, but if you want to reach God then there’s no other way but through kundalini. Kundalini is a word which notates a universal reality, not a new age religion. The soul has to rise to heaven and the process of the soul rising and leaving the body is a reality, and can be named anything one wishes to. There is no avoiding reality.

I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. Many people reach God without kundalini. In fact, I don’t know anyone who has reached God via kundalini.

This is dangerous and opening the door to occultism whether you realize it or not.

Do you mind if I ask what transpired or inspired you to begin looking into and practicing this?

I’m curious what the original poster is looking for. If its expertise in “kundalini” she has come to the wrong place. Let me make just a few points:
  1. The substance and tenor of the OP’s posts suggests a worldview very different from and (I suspect) very difficult to square with Catholic doctrine. It sounds as if OP thinks that the Holy Spirit can be located physically in the body, but my goodness! If the HS were corporeal in that sense, it would really jumble up the whole theology of the trinity, according to which Christ was made flesh, but the other two persons were not.
  2. Some Catholics have fruitfully explored non-catholic and non-Christian mystical traditions (Thomas Merton comes to mind). But these are folks steeped in the Catholic tradition in a way that the OP does not appear to be. To cite “Luciferians” with approval suggests a pretty shocking unfamiliarity with the very basic story of Christianity (which begins in a sense with Lucifer’s expulsion from heaven).
  3. To the extent that the OP wishes to remain in the Church and it’s good graces, I would recommend seeking (and following) guidance from a catholic spiritual advisor.
  4. I hope the OP is not just trolling for an argument, but I wonder.
  5. In my humble opinion, it is a mistake to look for tricks or short cuts to salvation. Jesus said to Peter, if you love me, feed my sheep. My advice to the OP is to worry less about mysticism and focus on living a Christlike life.

Nope,I am not trolling for an argument at all.I have just spoken with people who claim to be Catholic and believe kundalini is just a manifestation of the Holy Spirit and I totally disagree with them.I was looking for some (name removed by moderator)ut from other Catholics.

My statement was comparing the similarities of kundalini with the rebirth experience of luciferians, the shaktipat of Hinduism as well as some of the unusual manifestations associated with Todd Bentley.

There is nothing in any of my posts which could lead one to believe I associate any of these experiences with the Holy Spirit. When i wrote in the original post that “Is it at all feasible”.I was implying it seemed very unlikely.

To the Hindus, K-ndalini is a mother goddess, and sacred scriptures say that honoring any other gods, or goddesses is tantamount to honoring demonic spirits. There is significant spiritual danger associated with this (goddess).

May God Almighty deliver any such endangered souls through the deliverance of our Lord Jesus Christ to whom every name in heaven, on earth, and beneath the earth must bow.

All praise and glory to God our Father, and to His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Corinthians 2:13 says "These things we also speak not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The Kundalini is a symbol of a spiritual experience and can be related to the spiritual experiences of famous Christian Mystics. The Catholic Church has a rich tradition of Christian Mysticism. It is not something to be feared, but enjoyed and sought after.

Christian mystics and mysticism have nothing to do with a goddess named kundalini.

Again you don’t address the reality that the soul does not HAVE TO rise to Heaven. You make of kundalini a natural process inevitably leading the soul to heaven; this fits in with the non-Christian belief in reincarnation with the soul transmigrating until it reaches nirvana. It does not, however, fit in (however vigorously one may try) with the movement of the soul by God’s grace and the soul’s freedom to accept or move away from that grace with the ultimate freedom to choose against God to the soul’s damnation.

What is it then if not kundalini awakening? What is it called? I went thru this years ago and I did not know what it was or what it was called. I searched and searched, no one gave me the answer then few months later someone mentioned this, it is alike kundalini awakening. Catholic Church failed me with this. Now I read it is all about demon. No you guys don’t know at all about it. It is about healing your body. I do know Jesus Christ opened me up because my body went thru very loud vibration for weeks and months before and after 3 days of fire in the spine and crown of my head. Finally one night I got big bangs in my body then I heard the Voice , You will be okay. Yeah I was dying and continue warned about dying. Yeah I knew when God is calling me to go home before and will do it again when my time is up. What I felt in my body, was more alike nerve crawling in my spine and all over my head. I saw the energy flowed out of my crown from the base of spine. No snake or coil, just pure energy. Finally after experience it for 3 days, I told it to stop and it stopped. It did not hurt me at all. No demons were there. It is about body, not spirit or anything like that. I once met a lady who was very devoted to Mother Mary and very Catholic, she touched my heart. I felt she took my energy out of my heart and I fell down. U understand me? because my body is out of order and will need medicine for the rest of my life. Once in awhile I forgot the medicine for my pituitary gland and God came to me in my dreams sometime visions to warn me. I knew I need to take it right away so I can live many more years. U see all of this because of my malfunction pituitary gland that cause my spine shook and send the energy straight up to my crown. . nothing has to do with demons or hindu or anything but my body needed to be healed. I read this and all this just garbage from man who believe all those are work of the satan. No one should say any of this till one of you expierence this. I had it with any of you push all false about satan or the demons into my throat because it was God’s will He did for me.

Certainly the soul has to rise to heaven; how else will she get to face God at her judgement after death? Kundalini is a natural process only insofar as it represents the nexus of the material and the spiritual, and that death is a natural process. There is a major role in free will and cooperation with God’s grace involved in kundalini during life.

The student yelled across the river to a Holy Man how do I get across the river. The Holy Man replied you are across the river. We are already there, but we are not aware of it. The technique doesn’t matter, what matters is the awareness. If I wake up with an alarm clock or the light it doesn’t matter once I am awake.

I have been seeing this thread for a while now and at first I decided not to comment but now I want to do so. This whole kundalini awakening thing sounds like some sort of Occult thing or something. I think it must have something to do with Hinduism but nevertheless it sounds spiritually dangerous.

Gopi Krishna was considered one of the foremost experts on this subject, and claims he went through such a K awakening without a Yoga master.

He tried to explain this type of awakening as a biological and evolutionary process. Yet, he went through this terrible experience after, and while doing Yoga meditation for many years. He also says that it should not be attempted without a Yoga master as it can be very dangerous, and yet, he claims that in his day there were not any qualified masters in India to guide such an aspirant. He thinks mystics, mediums, creative geniuses, saints, and people with mental illness have their origins of experience due to some sort of the K-awakening.

He also states that many claim to have gone through this ‘awakening’, but have only experienced a minor part of such awakening, and are more than likely on some sort of ego trip.

He also explains this K ‘awakening’ as having it historical roots in the pagan god(s) and goddess(es) of India who have similarities to the god(s) and goddes(es) of the ancient Babylonian religion.

Reading his autobiography of his K- awakening is thoroughly distressing, and not particularly inspiring, except for his honest reporting of his experience.

If the foremost expert on this ‘awakening’ thinks it is dangerous, why would anyone want to get involved with it? If the foremost expert on this subject acknowleges the Hindu goddess behind it’s origins, why would a person of Christian faith want to be involved with it? Can we be sure it is simply a biological/ spinal and brain based spiritual experience as Gopi Krishna attempts to prove?

It seems to me that this K-awakening is either a mental illness undiagnosed, a New Age delusion, or worse, a dangerous deception by the enemy of our souls.

May God have mercy on our wayward souls.

I find this whole topic increasingly disturbing as it is obvious this serpent power is not from God.I cannot help but see the connection between this and the serpent in the garden promising eve she will be like God.When she partook of the forbidden fruit her eyes were opened.

Luciferians utilize it as do satanists and wiccans. It is very common among freemasons, and represented by the goat idol b-ph-m-t.

Gurus claim that there is no spiritual evolution without kundalini and others say this force will save the world. Some fondly refer to it as “K” or the K force. Others experienceing it then call lucifer their father!

I dunno, I will continue to pray the rosary and wait for Jesus to return at the end of all the tribulations.

St Faustina says that before this day there will be a sign in the sky.All lights will be extinguished and a cross will appear.Light will pour out from the places where His hands and feet were nailed.

Kundalini is just a word to represent a psycho-spiritual energy, the energy of the consciousness including mystical experiences. If one is not walking with the Lord I would say don’t go to scarry movies. If you are walking with the Lord then there is nothing to fear because God is the strongest force. If you are not or are walking with the Lord then read the Classical books written by Christian Mystics and gain some knowledge on the subject so you are not afraid.

No.kundalini is a serpent and not at all what the mystics experienced. Read the Interior Castle by St Teresa wich many proponents of eastern practices claim is describing a kundalini awakening.

She is describing her love for God and how God touches the heart of those who truly seek him.Contemplation is a gift and not something one can learn from meditation or by being touched on the forehead by a guru.

Open your eyes and see this serpent for what it is.Many mystics of the catholic church have also foretold this deception of a serpent winding its way through the whole world. I think they were describing this deceptive luciferian power that the gnostics used.

Read Irenaus against heresies.

When your soul eventually rises up to heaven to see God, as it will, and along the way in the midst of the crescendo of exhileration and freedom and upwelling love, you won’t be calling it a ‘serpent’ then, but ‘grace.’

9 out of 10 mystics surveyed agree!

.

Kundalini is not just a word, nor an ‘it’, in the Hindu religion, she is a mother goddess who in this ‘awakening’ rises up the spine to the brain in order to become ‘one’ with ‘Shiva’ (another false god). Association with false gods and goddesses is contrary to the Catholic- Christian faith, and should absolutely be avoided by any faithful Catholic, or Christian.
This is idolatry, no matter what scientific terms Gopi Krishna assigns to it.

May God deliver us and keep us from all deception.

Kundalini is often called the divine mother or mother goddess.

Can anyone not see where this deception is headed??

Mary, our beautiful pure blessed mother is the mother of Jesus Christ and humanity. She is not a serpent coiled near our bottoms ready to snake up our spines.

These false beliefs also incorporate a 'christ consciousness" instead of a belief in Jesus of Nazareth the second person of the blessed Trinity. Supposedly we all can be the great I am and become gods by awakening this power and ascending.Poppycock!
The Catechism of the Catholic church paragraph 675:

Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh

Mary told Sister Lucia of Fatima that satan is engaging in a decisive battle against the Holy Virgin. I think we are in the midst of that battle.
