If you had followed the conversation you would see I wasn’t referencing Fr. Z at all. I don’t know anything about Fr. Z aside from this one article. I don’t read his blog. The priest I was speaking of is actually my current pastorYou’ll have to show in the article where he says that, though Latin is the official language of the Church and we do call the Church, “Holy Mother Church”.
God divinely revealed to the Church His language (of love). Father Z is one of many good priests doing his best to teach us the faith. He is only one of a multitude of priests trying to restore and heal the Church.I think God does, but some might say Father Z does.
Disc 1What’s your favorite part?
Very sorry, my bad. I thought you were talking about Father Z.If you had followed the conversation you would see I wasn’t referencing Fr. Z at all.
So, my post there was in a discussion regarding the language of “love”. My comment was answering and in reference to God revealing to us through Divine Revelation what love is, what is right and wrong, what the commandments are and…God revealed His language? Where and when was that?
Yeah when was that…although some evangelical Protestants seem to claim God speaks King James English…LOLGod revealed His language? Where and when was that?
I’m sure Father can take it. The animosity directed towards him in this forum is probably nothing compared to what he gets from the liberals in his inbox everyday lol.How rude it would be for those people to claim something Father Z has never claimed, don’t you think?
I think we have seen evidence of this with the ‘spirit’ of Vatican II.Change how we pray and we change what we believe, and, hence, how we live.
Probably because that’s not the point of the article he wrote. His article is about the use of Latin in the Latin rite. It’s interesting to me that Father Z does not push the learning of Greek, which would be useful in studying the Bible and reading a lot of the early Church leaders’ writings.
