I can’t fin the link? Does anyone have it? I oppose her support of the war - how faithful a catholic can she be? But I’d love to listen. Link please.
 
I am not aware that the show is on archive. I caught it on a rebroadcast. Anyone else familiar with EWTN archives? I know you can buy it but that can be pricey.

Yes, it is. Pointing out the the woman has done terrible things in the past is a very good way to point out that she may not be somebody you want to look up to.

No, I frequent Google a lot. And when you search laura+ingraham+vote+line it’s the first site other than Wikipedia to host the story. So I used it. Do I really need to find the story on CNN.com for you to believe it?

I don’t mind people looking up to her, I just felt it was right to make some of her perhaps lesser known questionable activities brought to light.
 
You can go to this page for a podcast. I know that EWTN used to have a way that you could watch some of their shows for a certain amount of time in Real Player or Windows Media Player.

As far as the Dem voter phone line thing. Give me a break. It was a classic example of her sense of humor going a bit over the line. Not that it makes it right, but any number of people pass off worse things as “freedom of speech.”

At least Laura is trying to make a difference as a Catholic talk show host. I find it refreshing that someone with an outlet for her voice is working to help end the pornification of America.

Tom, you first slurred Sean Hannity. You then used your views of Sean Hannity to denigrate Laura Ingraham. This response is as intelligent as if I were to denigrate Hillary Clinton because she is adored by a “hate monger” on the left. If I had done such, you’d be right to criticize my lack of intellectual response.

With regard to clogging the hot line number, I ask did you condemn Garry Trudeau when he put in his cartoon the actual HOME phone number of a pro-life member of Congress? More importantly, if you had been a long-time listener you’d have understood that Laura has a dry sense of humor. Was it maybe a little over the top? Yes. But to characterize it as “terrible” is way over the top.

Finally, your last comment that you “don’t mind” if people look up to her certainly contrasts with your first post on this thread.

Laura Ingraham is someon with whom you can disagree on her political views. She certainly has strong opinions and a laser-sharp mind in articulating those views. But for anyone to denigrate her underlying character that have been impacted by facing death (cancer) and a conversion to our Faith because you disagree with her views is by definition “hate mongering”.
 
What did Miss Ingraham do that was so horrible? Support our country? Tweak those who clearly wish to betray it?

Shame, shame on her. Maybe you should go to Columbia, where they gave a warm reception to a brutal dictator and an enemy of peace and freedom.

Except it exhibits a “close-mindedness” that doesn’t foster intellectual development. Only a person who understands the perspective of both sides is truly informed.

No, there’s a difference. The company people make says a lot about themselves. Any time Laura Ingraham is on Hannity & Colmes they act like best buds, and I think that everyone should be held to a higher standard than 'well SHE didn’t ask “Is it that you hate this president or that you hate America?” sooo…"

Trust me, I am not merely projecting my feelings for Sean Hannity onto Laura Ingraham.

I hadn’t heard about the Trudeau incident, but yes I do condemn those actions.

And we can sit here and split hairs on whether what Ingraham did was terrible or over the top, but I feel that it’s at least worth mentioning. I personally don’t think somebody like that should be idolized like she apparently is.

Finally, I respect her for a lot of reasons (the least of which is her political views). Who on this thread do you think “idolizes” her?

Criticize and disagree with her all you want. Considering your intellectual arguments so far, she probably would consider it a compliment. But cancer has a way of changing people. It changed Joe Biden. She shared how it changed her.

First, I never said I didn’t believe you. Second, If I was trying to prove a point, I would use the most reliable source I could find, not the first one to pop up. Certainly not a leftist site like that one. Talk about hate mongers, that site was over flowing. CNN, although it’s not a place I would refer to, would have been a better choice. Thirdly, I never heard or got the opinion that anyone here idolized Laura Ingraham. I do admire her. I am a big fan of hers; I listen to her radio show daily& have read her book “Shut Up & Sing.” I agree with her on politics, I think she is intelligent, funny & is right on about how this Country is going to the sewers as far as the culture goes. I guess because as you said “she is a woman who has done terrible things,” that that would cancel out anything she says or does in her life as being worthy to admire, but we are all human. Bound to make errors. That includes me. That includes you. I admire her. You don’t & that’s fine. Thanks for the warning about Laura, but I don’t need it.😉
