Is her show on Sirius ?
Why?I’m glad I missed it.
Yes, it is. Pointing out the the woman has done terrible things in the past is a very good way to point out that she may not be somebody you want to look up to.Is this your idea of an intelligent response?
No, I didn’t read any of the comments. Did I post anything about the comments? Obviously I was linking to the story itself. You might want to put a warning the next time you put a link to a leftist site that is full of vile & disgusting comments (but then, I shouldn’t expect any less from them). Did you read every comment? These are intelligent people? Oh yeah, they’re the “enlightend” ones. They’re the smart ones..
No, I frequent Google a lot. And when you search laura+ingraham+vote+line it’s the first site other than Wikipedia to host the story. So I used it. Do I really need to find the story on CNN.com for you to believe it?Frequent the site do you?![]()
I don’t mind people looking up to her, I just felt it was right to make some of her perhaps lesser known questionable activities brought to light.Tom, would you give us some perspective? How about identifying for us someone in broadcasting who you think Laura should aspire to be like.
I read that she is off Sirius. Is her show on Sirius ?
The same Laura Ingraham that hate monger Sean Hannity adores?
The same Laura Ingraham that encouraged mass calls to the Democratic voting problem hotline?
Honestly.
Is this your idea of an intelligent response?
Tom, you first slurred Sean Hannity. You then used your views of Sean Hannity to denigrate Laura Ingraham. This response is as intelligent as if I were to denigrate Hillary Clinton because she is adored by a “hate monger” on the left. If I had done such, you’d be right to criticize my lack of intellectual response.Yes, it is. Are you saying you don’t want to hear an opinion that is not your own? That’s no way to learn.I’m glad I missed it.
Not everyone enjoys listening to talk show hosts with whom they disagree. There’s nothing wrong with that. Are you saying you don’t want to hear an opinion that is not your own? That’s no way to learn.
Except it exhibits a “close-mindedness” that doesn’t foster intellectual development. Only a person who understands the perspective of both sides is truly informed. Not everyone enjoys listening to talk show hosts with whom they disagree. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Well, that’s just lovely. First I find out about Catholic Forums, now I find out about a way to see EWTN shows I missed. I’LL NEVER GET ANYTHING DONE!!!You can go to this page for a podcast.
I don’t quite get why people feel the need to randomly tell us all they don’t like someone with no explanation. Not everyone enjoys listening to talk show hosts with whom they disagree. There’s nothing wrong with that.
No, there’s a difference. The company people make says a lot about themselves. Any time Laura Ingraham is on Hannity & Colmes they act like best buds, and I think that everyone should be held to a higher standard than 'well SHE didn’t ask “Is it that you hate this president or that you hate America?” sooo…"Tom, you first slurred Sean Hannity. I hadn’t heard about the Trudeau incident, but yes I do condemn those actions. With regard to clogging the hot line number, I ask did you condemn Garry Trudeau when he put in his cartoon the actual HOME phone number of a pro-life member of Congress? More importantly, if you had been a long-time listener you’d have understood that Laura has a dry sense of humor. Was it maybe a little over the top? Yes. But to characterize it as “terrible” is way over the top.
No it doesn’t. I obviously am not a fan of hers and if I knew somebody who was I wouldn’t look down on them because of it. As I said, I just wanted to make people aware of that occurrence. Finally, your last comment that you “don’t mind” if people look up to her certainly contrasts with your first post on this thread.
Uh, what? Laura Ingraham is not above criticism because she had cancer.Laura Ingraham is someon with whom you can disagree on her political views. She certainly has strong opinions and a laser-sharp mind in articulating those views. But for anyone to denigrate her underlying character that have been impacted by facing death (cancer) and a conversion to our Faith because you disagree with her views is by definition “hate mongering”.
And whom did she have on her show that wants to betray America? What did Miss Ingraham do that was so horrible? Support our country? Tweak those who clearly wish to betray it?
And you respond with a slur of Sean Hannity in an attempt to slur Laura.Laura Ingraham, who I once recommended as a guest on CAL, is going to be on The World Over tonight on EWTN!
ewtn.com/WorldOver/index.asp
She is apparently going to discuss her Catholic faith, bout with cancer, and life’s mission.
You again slur Hannity in the following to condemn her by “guilt by association.” Do you condemn Hillary Clinton since she is a friend of the Doonesbury comic and he did something you condemn? The same Laura Ingraham that hate monger Sean Hannity adores?
The same Laura Ingraham that encouraged mass calls to the Democratic voting problem hotline?
Honestly.
Finally, I respect her for a lot of reasons (the least of which is her political views). Who on this thread do you think “idolizes” her?No, there’s a difference. The company people make says a lot about themselves. Any time Laura Ingraham is on Hannity & Colmes they act like best buds, and I think that everyone should be held to a higher standard than 'well SHE didn’t ask “Is it that you hate this president or that you hate America?” sooo…"
Trust me, I am not merely projecting my feelings for Sean Hannity onto Laura Ingraham.
I hadn’t heard about the Trudeau incident, but yes I do condemn those actions.
And we can sit here and split hairs on whether what Ingraham did was terrible or over the top, but I feel that it’s at least worth mentioning. I personally don’t think somebody like that should be idolized like she apparently is.
No it doesn’t. I obviously am not a fan of hers and if I knew somebody who was I wouldn’t look down on them because of it. As I said, I just wanted to make people aware of that occurrence.
Uh, what? Laura Ingraham is not above criticism because she had cancer.
She doesn’t have to have 'em on her show; they’re all over the Senate. And whom did she have on her show that wants to betray America?
I plead the fifth amendment but suffice it to say I don’t like her. Why?
First, I never said I didn’t believe you. Second, If I was trying to prove a point, I would use the most reliable source I could find, not the first one to pop up. Certainly not a leftist site like that one. Talk about hate mongers, that site was over flowing. CNN, although it’s not a place I would refer to, would have been a better choice. Thirdly, I never heard or got the opinion that anyone here idolized Laura Ingraham. I do admire her. I am a big fan of hers; I listen to her radio show daily& have read her book “Shut Up & Sing.” I agree with her on politics, I think she is intelligent, funny & is right on about how this Country is going to the sewers as far as the culture goes. I guess because as you said “she is a woman who has done terrible things,” that that would cancel out anything she says or does in her life as being worthy to admire, but we are all human. Bound to make errors. That includes me. That includes you. I admire her. You don’t & that’s fine. Thanks for the warning about Laura, but I don’t need it.No, I frequent Google a lot. And when you search laura+ingraham+vote+line it’s the first site other than Wikipedia to host the story. So I used it. Do I really need to find the story on CNN.com for you to believe it?.
