If abortion were as important as same-sex deviancy it would have been specifically mentioned in scripture. We wouldn’t have to rely on scriptural bootstrapping. But let’s face facts, in the USA, 90 percent of fetuses, pre-born children, whatever you wish to call them, if they are found via amniocentesis to have Down Syndrome are aborted. When 90 percent of Americans agree on anything, it takes on a correctness all its own. And why did our Creator give us the knowledge to develop amniocentesis in the first place? Just to find out if the nursery should be painted blue or pink?
Free will.God prefers we choose good, however he allows us to make that choice.

We don’t have to rely on political bootstrapping. We rely on 2000 years of unchanging teachings by the one true Church.

So the seriousness of sin rests on how many times it gets repeated specifically in the bible? Show me the passage where one shouldn’t sexually molest children?

Job 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

Psalms 22:10 I was cast on you from the womb: you are my God from my mother’s belly.

Psalms 139:13 For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother’s womb.

Psalms 139:14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.

Proverbs 31:8 Open your mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nation.

Most of these tell us that we are persons from the instant we are conceive, now how can we then kill a person and be right in the eyes of God?
Thou shall not kill is one of the commandments.

I doubt there’s less promiscuity in the Netherlands than in the US. But the Dutch have better sex education and availability of contraceptives. As for banning abortion based on a diagnosis of Down Syndrome, forcing parents to accept the birth of a seriously deformed child is a really bad idea, both on grounds of eugenics and just plain common sense. This is the sort of thing that gives the pro-life movement a bad name. This is a classic case of where only the parents and their physician should be the shot-callers.
Margaret sanger thought we should not allow the exsistence of the disabled. So did Hitler.

Downs syndrome is not a "“seriously deformed child” and no reason for a DEATH SENTENCE. Netherland also euthanizes people!

Some people refuse to be convinced regardless of how much proof you set before them. 🤷
This is true, but consider what an important bill this is and ask yourself if you want the governor of the state that can’t get this done despite strong momentum to be the Republican Presidential nominee. Like I said, it’s the most important thing going on in Ohio for the Pro-life movement, so keep an eye on that.

Nah. The election is still a long way off. This issue will be nothing but a one small blip on the radar. 🤷

I don’t think so. It’s an important issue in Ohio and I think Governor Kasich showing good leadership here would enhance his chances. I haven’t seen that yet though.
