I have some more haditha:

Bukhari:V4B52N220 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror. While I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand.’ Allah’s Apostle has left the world and now we are bringing out those treasures.”

Here are some hadiths that show mohammed waged offensive warfare (shows that mohammed was indeed the aggressor) and it seems he did it with much energy! there are more examples of his being the aggressor and attacking others - I just posted this one as an example. I would fill up volumes of posts by posting them all.

Ishaq:602 “The Apostle always referred allusively to the destination which he intended to raid. This was the sole exception, for he said plainly that he was making for the Byzantines because the journey was long, the weather was hot, and the enemy was strong.”

Ishaq:603 “The Apostle went forward energetically with his preparations and ordered the men to get ready with all speed. He urged Muslims to help provide the money, mounts, and means to do Allah’s work. Those who contributed earned rewards with Allah.”

Ishaq:470 “We attacked them fully armed, swords in our hand, cutting through heads.”

Now, these are surahs that are solely about jihad. And I included some surahs (starting with Qur’an:4:95) that tells us why the masses of ‘moderates’ give their money to the charities that our government have shut down.

Muslim:C40B20N4676 “Jihad Is Compulsory.”

Qur’an:2:216 “Jihad (holy fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims), though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not.” [Another translation reads:] “Warfare is ordained for you.”

Qur’an:4:95 “Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no injurious hurt, and those who strive hard, fighting Jihad in Allah’s Cause with their wealth and lives. Allah has granted a rank higher to those who strive hard, fighting Jihad with their wealth and bodies to those who sit (at home). Unto each has Allah promised good, but He prefers Jihadists who strive hard and fight above those who sit home. He has distinguished his fighters with a huge reward.”

Bukhari:V1B2N25 “Allah’s Apostle was asked, ‘What is the best deed?’ He replied, ‘To believe in Allah and His Apostle Muhammad.’ The questioner then asked, ‘What is the next best in goodness?’ He replied, ‘To participate in Jihad, religious fighting in Allah’s Cause.’”

Bukhari:V4B51N73 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Know that Paradise is under the shade of swords.’”

Bukhari:V5B59N516 “When Allah’s Apostle fought the battle of Khaybar, or when he raided any other people, we raised voices crying, ‘Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar!’”

Qur’an 4:89 “They wish that you would reject Faith, as they have, and thus be on the same footing: Do not be friends with them until they leave their homes in Allah’s Cause. But [and this is a hell of a but…] if they turn back from Islam, becoming renegades, seize them and kill them wherever you find them.”

Bukhari:V4B52N44 “A man came to Allah’s Apostle and said, ‘Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad in reward.’ He replied, ‘I do not find such a deed.’”

Qur’an 9:88 “The Messenger and those who believe him, strive hard and fight jihad with their wealth and lives (in Allah’s Cause).”

I will post some hadiths about the deception that I keep talking about and get frustrated with since I have a hard time with that since if muslims are told to deceive us - I ask, ‘how can we trust them?’.

Bukhari:V7B67N427 “The Prophet said, ‘If I take an oath and later find something else better than that, then I do what is better and expiate my oath.’”

Qur’an 9:3 “Allah and His Messenger dissolve obligations.”

Qur’an 66:2 “Allah has already sanctioned for you the dissolution of your vows.”

Bukhari:V4B52N268 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘War is deceit.’”

Ishaq:519 “Hajjaj said to the Apostle, ‘I have money scattered among the Meccan merchants, so give me permission to go and get it.’ Having got Muhammad’s permission, he said, ‘I must tell lies.’ The Apostle said, ‘Tell them.’”

Qur’an 8:58 “If you apprehend treachery from a people with whom you have a treaty, retaliate by breaking off relations with them.”

Ishaq:567 “Muhammad informed Umar [the second Caliph], and he called the Prophet a liar.”

Bukhari:V6B60N662 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Some eloquent speech is as effective as magic.’”

Ishaq:323 “I am the best of plotters. I deceived them with My guile so that I delivered you from them.”

Ishaq:365
Tabari VII:94 “Muhammad bin Maslamah said, ‘O Messenger, we shall have to tell lies.’ ‘Say what you like,’ Muhammad replied. ‘You are absolved, free to say whatever you must.’”

This one I find very revealing in that the muslims themselves use the abrogated surahs in most of these threads. And mohammed himself that he has replaced them with better ones.

Bukhari:V6B60N8 "Umar said, 'Our best Qur’an reciter is Ubai. And in spite of this, we leave out some of his statements because Allah’s Apostle himself said, “Whatever verse or revelation We abrogate or cause to be forgotten We bring a better one.”

This is why muslims don’t question anything concerning islam.

Bukhari:V2B24N555 “I heard the Prophet say, ‘Allah hates for you for asking too many questions.’”

(wow, that verse says a lot - that allah hates its own creation for using what it supposedly gave to its creation. Or is it that we are getting a glimpse that mohammed is allah? mohammed has made himself as allah and it is mohammed who hates?)

Qur’an 5:101 “Believers! Do not ask questions about things which if made plain and declared to you, may vex you, causing you trouble.”

Qur’an 5:102 “Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account they lost their faith and became disbelievers.”

The hadith is merely explaining that our deeds in this world will be rewarded on the Day of Judgment by what our true intentions were when we carried out these deeds.

The early Muslims were commanded to migrate to Madinah and they had to leave behind all of their property and possessions in Makkah when the persecution that they suffered at the hands of the pagan population there became so severe and dangerous for them that they were unable to freely practice their faith.

Those who migrated because of their obedience to their Lord will be rewarded accordingly on the Day of Judgment and those whose migration was for other reasons will not obtain this reward in the Hereafter.
actually, this is not entirely true. The elders in Mecca approached mohammed’s uncle to stop mohammed from his poor behavior. It is even in the hadiths. It was mohammed who was the problem. This is why to this day the distortion of who is persecuted and who isn’t still prevails. muslims feel they are persecuted, or oppressed, if they are not able to establish sharia law, have infidels pay them accept subjugation and just behave as musims behave in mostly muslim countries - which do not have good records for human rights, religious tolerance, or even laws to make them accountable the killing/torture/stealing from/lying to/etc of infidels.

Ishaq:119 “'Abu Tabib, your nephew Muhammad has cursed our gods [at this point he had cursed all of them, including Allah], insulted our religion [more correctly, insulted them by trying to steal their religion], mocked our way of life and accused our forefathers of error. Either you stop him or let us get to him. For you, like us, are in opposition to him. He gave them a conciliatory reply. They returned a second time and said, ‘We have asked you to put a stop to your nephew’s activities but you have not done so. By Allah, we cannot endure having our fathers reviled and our customs mocked.’ Muhammad thought that his uncle had the idea of abandoning and betraying him, and that he was going to lose his support. The Apostle broke into tears.”

Tabari VI:93 "The Quraysh went to Abu Talib and said, ‘Your nephew [Muhammad] has reviled our gods, denounced our religion, derided our traditional values, and told us that our forefathers were misguided [and burning in hell]. Either curb his attacks on us or give us a free hand to deal with him, for you are as opposed to him as we are.’ They said, ‘We asked you to forbid your nephew from attacking us, but you did nothing. By Allah, we can no
longer endure this vilification of our forefathers, this derision of our traditional values, and this abuse of our gods.’

This breach and enmity with his tribe weighed heavily on Talib. ‘Abu Talib, you are our elder and our chief, so give us justice against your nephew and order him to desist from reviling our gods, and we will leave him to his god.’"

Tabari VI:95 “Abu Talib sent for muhammad. ‘Nephew, here are the shaykhs and nobles of your tribe. They have asked for justice against you. You should desist from reviling their gods and they will leave you to your god.’”

Tabari VI:96 “Abu Talib said to Muhammad, ‘Nephew, how is it that your tribe is complaining of you and claiming
that you are reviling their gods and saying this, that, and the other?’ The Messenger said, 'I want them to utter one saying. If they say it, the Arabs will submit to them and the non-Arabs will pay the jizyah [submission tax] to them.”

islam’s own documents don’t even back up the claims that mohammed was a nice guy!

The same thing you are doing to Islam, making it into a religion it was not intended to be.

In Christ,

Silouan
Silouan,
I respect you and some of your posts.
But i do not like what you are saying about R_not.
R_not is a fellow believer in Jesus and is dedicated in tell the truth for Jesus.
You are now a Christian yourself and you know the different belief system of Christianity and Islam.
If you ‘think’ Islam is meant to be a beautiful religion, why is it so full of hate and false teachings of Jesus and Christianity?
Some of the teachings in Islam is downright negative and full of hate, R_Not is expressing this.
Some people are more to the point and get their opinion across more directly, R_not is one of these people. Some people may not agree with r_not and the way he/she delivers their opinion, but personally, i love it, i love the directness, the dedication of r_not’s work and i agree with most of his/her postings.
Please find it in your heart to understand R_not and the way he/she expresses herself, we are all different and we are all Gods children. We are meant to love one another. 👍

This is one of the reasons I am not Muslim. The Scholars of Islam have complicated the religion. The scholars of Islam asked to many questions and complicated the religion. This is the great failure of Islam today. The scholars are trying to take control of Islam, with an Islam that isn’t truly the religion of Muhammad but is rather the religion of the scholars of Islam.

Islam of the scholars, is not a fitra based religion.

In Christ,

Silouan
Are you saying that you believe in the Islam that was taught by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) but not in the interpretation of his teachings by the scholars?

If this is the case, then how would you know the true teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) if not by referring to the Qur’an and the ahadith?

If this is the case, then how would you know the true teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) if not by referring to the Qur’an and the ahadith?
A very good point, you should tell that to planten also, since he/she is not a believer of ahadith.😉

Jihad is not confined to only fighting.”

But islam DOES promote actual physical violence to expand the religion. That is a (rather obviously) simple sin.

Christianity KNOWS that physical violence can not MAKE one a Christian. To be violent makes one more UNChristian.

A (and certainly not “the”) basic contradiction of islam is that it’s “good” to make others more religious by making them less religious.

But then, it IS correct politically that conquest makes one more disposed toward one’s conquerors if those conquerors “pay you off” for following them.

Yet another proof that islam is not a religion but only a political system.
When it comes to the matter of ‘jihad’, here is just one sample of what another beloved Prophet of Islam (pbuh) is reported to have said:

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. … Matthew 10:34

You are the king of taking passages out of context ham!!!

Please find it in your heart to understand R_not and the way he/she expresses herself, we are all different and we are all Gods children. We are meant to love one another. 👍
We are meant to LOVE all, irrespective of their religion, beliefs or actions. If you LOVE, it automatically means that you would be just and truthful when dealing with all people. It also means that you will respect all those around you.

To suggest that I should support the unjust actions of a fellow Christian is not an action of LOVE and TRUTH.

To suggest that I should support the unjust actions of a fellow Christian, simply because Islam has some false teachings about Jesus and other teachings that I may personally disagree with it not an action of LOVE and TRUTH.

R_not makes it seem that the average Muslims sits at home thinking how they should kill the next Christian or Jew. That they sit around harboring hate for Christians and Jews. That the life of the average Muslim is built and focused on hate, beating women and the likes.

And this is simply NOT true.

I was Muslim for many years, and I found muslims have more hatred for other Muslims more than they do Christians and Jews. And that they spend more time talking about mistakes of this muslim group or that muslim group than they talk about the mistakes of Christians.

Jihad and beating wives do not make up the core of the religion of Islam. Yes muslims consider jihad an aspect of Islam, but Islam isn’t boot camp where every sermon is is built around killing and hating and harming people.

The Islam the R_not promotes is found among a few Muslims probably 10% of the Muslim have attitudes like R_not speaks up. I use to visit many mosques. I met sufis, salafis, ikhwanis, muslims who have no sect, shia etc etc. And Jihadi muslims are rare to find. And that is the TRUTH.

What R_Not does is she, takes a truth and embellishes it in a deceptive way, she finds an article about a Muslim who teaches hateful things or does hateful things, and than a hadith or Quran verse that supports this hateful thing that this muslim did, and then say, THIS IS WHAT ISLAM teaches. THIS IS WRONG, IT IS UNJUST…

It is no different than the media, who make it appear that the Catholic priesthood in dominated by pediphila. Yes there are some cases of some priest who act out of line. But it is NOT TRUE for majority of the priests. But people who watch the media, don’t think so. IT IS WRONG FOR THE MEDIA TO DO SO.

R_not crosses two different the teaches of two different major sects, the Sunnis and Shias. The Shias are the only Muslims that are allowed to lie about there religion, NOT the Sunnis. And the Sunnis make up 90% of the Muslim World. However R_Not makes it appear that all Muslims lie about their religion and the Islam teaches muslims to lie about there religion. And that is NOT true. I cannot support R_Not.

Oh I understand R_Not, but her methodology of trying to expose Islam is baseless and wrong. All I am saying is Islam is wrong by itself, there is no need to make Islam into what it is not in order for it to be wrong. Islam is already wrong.

Islam is already wrong.

Islam is already wrong.

There is no need to make up lies about it.

R_not is like the angry cop who arrests a rapist. And whose close cousin was raped, so she has a personal hatred for rapist. Knowing that the rapist will only get 10 years in prison and probably parole after 3-5 years. Knowing this, she beats the rapist up after arresting him, makes up a story that the rapist attacked her first and she was forced to beat him up. Knowing that no one will believe the rapist.

But why does she need to do that. The rapist has already be caught, we have video tapes of the rapist in the act and witnesses. Its a closed case. The rapist is already guilty and the rapist will already be punished. Why beat him up? And lie?

Islam is already wrong.

Islam is wrong by itself.

In Christ,

Silouan

Hadith # 10

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:

“Verily Allah the Exalted is pure. He does not accept but that which is pure. Allah commands the believers with what He commanded the Messengers. Allah the Almighty has said: “O you Messengers! Eat of the good things and act righteously” [23:51-53]. And Allah the Almighty also said: “O you who believe! Eat of the good things that We have provided you with” [2:167-172].
Then he (the Prophet) mentioned (the case of) the man who, having journeyed far, is dishevelled and dusty and who stretches out his hands to the sky (saying): “O Lord! O Lord!” (while) his food was unlawful, his drink was unlawful, his clothing was unlawful, and he is nourished with unlawful things, so how can he be answered?”

[Muslim]

The word “at-tayyib” is used in the Qur’an and Sunnah to describe actions, good deeds, people, things, speech, etc. This term is used as adjectives. Literally it means something good. Ibn Rajab interpreted the word as “at-tahir”, or pure.

The term “Verily Allah the Exalted is pure” means Allah has all the attributes of perfection and completeness, free from any kind of shortcomings, weaknesses or needs.

As for “He does not accept but that which is pure”, the hadith refers to all good deeds. Allah does not accept any deeds that are spoilt by any aspects that may ruin it. For example, the deed must be free from showing-off to others and in the case that involves wealth then the wealth must come from legal sources.

Allah commanded the Believers (Mu’minin) in the same manner as He commanded the Messengers:

"O Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibat" [Surah Al-Mu’minun (23): ayat 51]

"O you who believe! Eat of the Tayyibat that We have provided you with, …" [Surah Al-Baqarah (2): ayat 172]

The verses above and this hadith imply the following beneficial and useful rulings:

The money that the Muslims earn must be pure and legal.
The food that is consumed must be lawful (halal).
The money with which a person buys food must be lawful, coming from lawful sources.
These are the keys for acceptance of our deeds by Allah.
Whether something is permissible or prohibited is by the will of Allah. He explains, guides and tells us what are permissible and what are not. It is mentioned in the Qur’an that some people have wrongfully made something unlawful when actually Allah has made it lawful, and vice versa. It is actually Allah’s right to make things lawful and unlawful.
Earning and consuming lawful things are important conditions for acceptance of a Muslim’s supplications (du’a) by Allah.

When it comes to the matter of ‘jihad’, here is just one sample of what another beloved Prophet of Islam (pbuh) is reported to have said:

Hamba2han, read the following verses in the NT to see how easily your arguments are debunked by Jesus’ statements:

Matthew 26:51-53
And behold one of them that were with Jesus, stretching forth his hand, drew out his sword: and striking the servant of the high priest, cut off his ear. Then Jesus saith to him: **Put up again thy sword into its place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword. **Thinkest thou that I cannot ask my Father, and he will give me presently more than twelve legions of angels?

Mark 13:12-13
And the brother shall betray his brother unto death, and the father his son; and children shall rise up against their parents and shall work their death. And you shall be hated by all men for my name’s sake. But **he that shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved. **

Mark 10:29-30
Jesus answering said: Amen I say to you, there is no man who hath left house or brethren or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, Who shall not receive an hundred times as much, now in this time: houses and brethren and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions: and in the world to come life everlasting.

Apostle Paul also explains what jihad and sword mean in the Christian context.

Ephesians 6:16-17
Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness, by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace, and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And **take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Hello,

I got a question for you and it covers Muslims views of Christians?

islam.tc/quran/
This is a web site that has a translation of the Quran.

Please explain why you hold this view of me and my brothers and sisters???
  1. The Table Spread (Al-Máída)
005.051 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
I could show a passage that dictate Muslims to tax Christians as second class people.

I have a copy of the Quran that I’ve look at but I don’t see a religion of peace. I no expert on the Quran ,but I can read and I find it worry’s me.

I look forward to reading you statements.

Mat-10:34-36 →
34 "Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword.

35 For I have come to set a man 'against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;

36 and one’s enemies will be those of his household.’

Jesus is not saying to USE the sword, but that the sword will be used against the believer who accepts that Jesus is God and follows His way.

Islam says to USE the sword to violently convert non-moslems.

Islam doesn’t care that it is a simple contradiction to try to make people more religious by making them less religious. All islam is concerned with is the extent of the political control of islam’s “slavemasters” (leaders).

No Islam does not say that.

You see, Christians want Muslims to expect their explanations but will not accept Muslims explanations.

Hypocrites.

Well, no one else is answering your question and I can tell you from experiences with muslims that you will get either one of these as an answer:
  • they will point out things in the Bible that Christians and Jews do not practice (and these are usually things that have been discussed so much that many of us are knocking our heads on the wall because the same ones come up with the same questions).
  • they will point to other’s bad behavior
  • they will ignore you
  • they will call you unChristian
  • they will claim that you are bashing them (keep in mind it is THEIR koran and THEIR prophet’s words and deeds!)
if you want to understand mohammed and why he said and did the things that he did - I would recommend, ‘Understanding muhammad, A Psychobiography’.

I have read quite a bit and this one really gets to the point. Also, the author of this book has written some articles that are shorter and also there are other aspects of islam that are very helpful to start with. He is an Iranian ex-muslim - Ali Sina. His articles, and other author’s articles, are contained in www.faithfreedom.org

Most of the best info I get to either confirm what I know and/or give me new insights and new ways to look at things are from ex-muslims themselves.

This translation is actually a bad translation, the word friends does not accurately explain the meaning of Awilya in this verse.

In order to understand this verse, one must understand the context in which the verse was revealed.

CONTEXT is important.

During the time that this verse was revealed to the Muslim is when the Muslim had just mirgated from Mecca to Medinah. And the Muslims were weak and wished not to be attacked again.

It was a common practice during that time, that certain peoples, families and tribes when they were weak, would seek the protection of a stronger tribe or people for survival. So the verse is telling the Muslims not to seek protection from the Jews and Christians of that time.

So Awliya would probably be better translated as protecters and not friends. Thus the verse is specific in meaning and not general.

In Christ,

Silouan

Sadly Muslims seem to ignore this:

**This **is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
**Verily **I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them.
**No **compulsion is to be on them.
**Neither **are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries.
**No **one is to destroy a house of their religion church, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses.
**Should **anyone take any of these, he would spoil God’s covenant and disobey His Prophet.
Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.
**No **one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight.
**The **Muslims are to fight for them.
**If **a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray.
**Their **churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants.
**No **one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).

“Charter of Privileges”

Keep in mind the last one :
**No **one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).

so it’s an obligation for every Muslim till the Last Day.

Then is the meaning of the passage something like “do not take the Christians or Jews as protectors in a war, because they won’t look after you - only fellow Christians or Jews”? Is this the modern, mainstream understanding?

It still seems strange to me, but I guess I’m glad that none of my Muslim friends are sinning by behaving nicely towards me.
