Last year I posted a Poll to determine your least favorite Christmas song in 2004.

Well it’s that time again and just wonder if the least favorite song(s) last year will be the same this year. These songs were chosen by a pre-poll last year.

This poll will be a multiple answer poll.

I don’t like any of those songs. I like music that makes you reach for heaven.
Did you get the job?
Are you getting snow today(11-18-05). We’re not!
I listen to the radio WDEO on the internet every day. You can also get EWTN on serius radio.

MammaKat,
I did this poll last year, it was pretty popular.

I won’t know about the job until late December. Thanks for asking!

I get EWTN via the Internet, but wish EWTN could start a Catholic Music Network that would play Christmas music that tell the Truth about the season.

by the great mercy of God I have not heard the hippo song, but the others should all be wiped from collective human consciousness forever, for the good of the human race.

By God’s Grace, you have been spared from hearing the Hippo song. The song was first played in the early 1960’s.

I noticed that you didn’t answer the snow question. I hear I 90 is closed at Vrooman Road and that you have 4inches of snow.

I live in Bay so we have none.

Yes, we have ‘enough’.

(we’re getting off topic here…) :o

Hey, I love the dogs barking “Jingle Bells”!

My least favorite is not on the list, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” That line, “Now bring us some figgy pudding.” When I was a lad, I thought it was “Now bring us some finger pudding.” The imagery has made me ill at the mere hint of that song.

I’m ashamed :o to admit it but I don’t like “Joy to the World.” I think the melody is awful. The words are wonderful, but I wish it sounded different. “Santa Baby” by Madonna is icky too.

**LEAST favorite of all; that Mary, didja know…song.
Like nails on a blackboard.

Great Scotts! I only know Mama Got Run Over…but based on the titles I’d have to say the War is Over - probably a kneejerk reaction.

Nails on a chalkboard? I love that song!

I’d never heard the hippo song either…until last night when it was used in a phone comercial. Yuck.

My least favourite has got to be the Kinks Father Christmas.

It is a tie for my LEAST favorite neither of which are on the list:
The Night Before a Redneck Christmas
The Twelve Days of a Redneck Christmas

Besides the kids singing it, what’s so bad about the John Lennon one? (Actually, I love it)
As for me, the only Christmas song I have trouble with is “Frosty the Snowman.”
Me: “Excuse me, begging your pardon sir”
Host: “Yes, you in the back row.”
Me: “What does this really have to do with Christmas?”
Host: “Well, uh, it’s about winter…”
Me: “Well, lots of songs have to do with winter, but they’re not all about Christmas. Besides, this has nothing to do with Christmas’s message. Do I have to act like Linus in the Charlie Brown Special and quote Luke’s gospel? Or do you have the anti-Christian Squad waiting at the back door to brainwash me?”
Host: “Don’t worry, friend. Okay, let’s start the more Christian songs. Someone here has the right idea. That was just a test.”

My least favorite Christmas song is the one my grandma(my dad’s mother)makes up.She always forget the lyrics, and end up improvising.Mixing bits of every song she knows.😃

Sorry, but I think Grandma’s song is just too funny. It just brings a smile to my face just thinking about it 😃 .

I guess to put in more in a Christian atmosphere: Sometimes we just need to get run over by a reindeer to remember just because we can’t see something, we can and should believe! 👍
