Sounds like me. I started playing the guitar at age 12, almost 13, taking lessons. Got my first electric at age 14. Never done drugs, smoked, barely drank myself, certainly wasn’t a satanist or ruffian. I’ve never been in a bar. I’m a quiet, keep to myself kinda guy.
I agree with your appraisal of Zeppelin. Most of their songs are actually blues-based and harken back to earlier influences, like you said with the Lemon Song. In My Time of Dying and Since I’ve Been Lovin’ You and so many others are just bluesy. Many are about mythology or harken to mythological moments/themes: Immigrant Song, No Quarter, Achilles’ Last Stand, Ramble on (Gollem, LOTR), and many others. A lot of Zeppelin songs have a middle eastern flair (In the Evening, Kashmir, Nobody’s Fault but Mine, etc.) because of Robert Plant’s living in the M.E. and relationships. Some of their songs are just good ole rock anthems like Communication Breakdown, Rock n Roll, Livin Lovin, etc.
They had very few moments that could even be misconstrued for Satanism. Dazed and Confused was probably the darkest tune they ever did and that was pretty thin diabolically
