There were no mistakes made with Vatican II in the 60’s or now. It was people refusing to accept change. Change is scary to people. If there had been mistakes the Church would not have flourished with the committed people present today. Go check your parish staff, the diocesan staff. the Catholic hospital and nursing homes staff. Those are the people who stayed and listened . Think of the Gospel reading today. They have taken the fish and loaves to create and multiple. That’s why something needs to be said now, because so few people know what’s happening. It needs to be explained to the people who remember the sixties and are wondering why [edited] the words they’ve used for forty years are changing again, and to the people who think it’s unnecessary because there’s nothing wrong with the present transation. And perhaps the fact that things weren’t explained properly in the sixties is a good reason to make sure they are explained properly now, even though the changes aren’t as great, to make sure the mistakes of the past aren’t repeated.
There are just people who are stilled scared silly by the changes of Vatican ll They need to put God back into the locked tabernacle and the Holy Spirit says I need to be out & active in the world.
