Geesh guys, itā€™s still the hockey playoffs! After my Avs win the cup, THEN Iā€™ll worry about how bad the Broncos are! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

So my Steelers try to again climb the Stairway to Seven

Will the Big Ten reverse course and start in October??
I thought it was Novemberā€¦ Either wayā€¦it wonā€™t be the same having all of the games at neutral sites.

Iā€™m also not a big fan of the NFL allowing fans by whatever the state the team resides in says. I say no fans until every team is allowed at least some number.

Thatā€™s me brother. And such a sad time to see my fandom dying, with Lamar Jackson rising and the sky seemingly the limit. They canā€™t cease preaching, but only one message is acceptable. No thanks, Goodell.

Iā€™m all in for Manchester United. Ohā€¦ you meant the football we play on THIS side of the oceanā€¦

I own lots of Raiders stuff, Cowboys as well. Iā€™m currently wearing a Rams t-shirt. I have a Patriots one somewhere but I try to keep that one hidden ( It was a gift so I put it on at relevant moments.)

Iā€™m more into college ball and the CFL does not interest me in the least even though there is a team in a neighboring city. So if we can do college, the teams I keep track of are Tennessee, Georgia, and Maryland. But if there are 5 or 6 games to choose from on an average Saturday Iā€™ll watch a bit of each no matter who is playing.

Representing H-Town.

We trying to get to our first

AFC Championship Game.

That reminds me of a joke told by an SEC fan who didnā€™t like Tennessee.

He said, ā€œDo you know why Tennessee players wear orange jerseys? Because theyā€™re used to wearing orange the rest of the week when working on chain gangs at the prisonā€.

I have distant cousins in Tennessee. Theyā€™ll get a kick out of this one.

Brings to mind a joke I heard about the fierce rivalry between Virginia and Virginia Tech. Works for either school, or any other rivalry for that matter. ā€œWhy couldnā€™t the Virginia Homecoming Queen make it to the away game at Tech? They needed her to finish grazing the home field.ā€

A bunch of millionaires, a number of whom have domestic abuse problems, playing a boysā€™ game in order to sell trucks and beer - as well as lecture us on civic responsibilities. Iā€™ll pass.
A young man from our city was drafted several years back into one of the NFL teamsā€“I wonā€™t say which. He is a fine Catholic man who graduated from our cityā€™s Catholic schools (and our Catholic high school has been to state tourney many times), and he continues to be a fine Catholic man who is generous with his salary and always upstanding in his public behavior.

I think that most NFL players are just like this young manā€“decent, moral, God-fearing and country-honoring men that we can admire not only for their amazing athleticism, but their good souls.

I love watching a good NFL game! So much athleticism and action, and every game is different. The strategies in American football are every bit as riveting as a game of Go or Chess. Itā€™s a great game.

I checked New England Patriots roster and a little less than half of the roster make more than a million, although some make 9+ million $. The minimum salary I saw for any player was $610k, which isnā€™t too shabby.

I agree that using sports as a political platform for athletes to express their views is somewhat annoying. Sports to me should be entertaining and an oasis from politics and other worries of life.

Iā€™m glad Ben is back and seems okay, but Iā€™ll miss the Duck. At least the team has kept him on the practice squad, so he can still come up, I suppose, if needed.

You gotta keep wearinā€™ 'at for the rest of the season!

ā€œDad Has Spokenā€

Iā€™m so upset about Zach Banner. He worked so hard in the off season and in training camp to earn being a starter.

And as much as I like James Conner, I think Benny Snell is better.

I donā€™t know which is worse, the fake crowd noise or no crowd noise.
One benefit is that I heard a couple clang
noises I never heard before, including one courtesy of Chris Boswell on Monday night.

Every year I have jumped on the annual football threads since 2005. I cannot, at least at this time, do anything supportive of the NFL.
