sorry but I am not sure why you are so defensive about them? I did say they were talented and Paul and John were brilliant writers. I also agree with Hooser Daddy that you can see their progression in the music from love songs to drug related music. They all did drugs and they all went to India even is only one stayed with it. They also are one of the biggest rock bands in history whether you love them or hate them. Their music reflected all these things. About whether they were nice people, Paul’s second wife who did divorce him did charge him abuse. I am not sure any big rock star is really nice just my observation. That is NOT what he said! If you are going to use an example, then at least get it right.
And they all eventually stopped, too. Do you consider the same in people who sin at one time or another?
George Harrison was the only one who established an attachment to Hindu perspectives…does that really make him so bad? He was never Catholic nor had he ever professed to being Christian. In his own words, his family wasn’t “anything.” Or are you saying that all Hindus are bad people because they aren’t Catholic?
Really? I’d appreciate a link. I’ve seen many interviews with McCartney and, other than the English habit that if foreign to us here in America, never heard anything like you describe.
And how do you know they weren’t nice people?
