The masses are also often lacking any sort of true conviction in and/or knowledge of what’s right and what’s wrong, leading them to be witlessly led around by the nose towards whatever pen or cliff their masters would like to see them trapped in or tumble over.

And all those Catholics that took the DVD Niestadt had mailed out and dumped them at their churches in protest? Those masses were wrong too apparently.

His statement shows mainly that he lacks conviction and faith in God. “I will take it into my own hands to make my life by my rules, rather than let God lead me along the life that He made for me.” That is his ultimate statement, and it is heartrendingly depressing.

He puts his conviction entirely in himself and his own abilities.

He’s building a house on a sea-shore. Hope he’s okay when the tide rolls in.
 
VERY telling statement:

*In a statement, Hudson called his resignation a “deeply personal” decision. He said he loved being part of the Totino-Grace community, and reached his decision after “a great deal of prayer, discernment and reflection.”

“Though heartbreaking and painful, I must say that it is freeing to be open about the most important thing in my life and to live an authentic life,” Hudson said. "For over 20 years **I have placed service of the Catholic Church ahead of my family. *I am excited to now be able focus on my 2 children and my partner of 18 years as my first priority."

It’s a good thing he resigned. His priorities are obviously deeply flawed. We are SUPPOSED to put God and the Church above everything else, including our families. It is also telling that his love of sin is the most important thing in his life.

How can you–or anyone–know what is in this man’s heart? The "life that [God] made for [him]’ is the life of a gay man. The only thing depressing about this story is the fact that his Church and some of its members treat him and other gays as less than human, and all that bs about how “we hate the sin but love the sinner” is just that–BS.
 
One should not be surprised that, some time in the future, the Federal government will come down hard on Catholic institutions for not embracing the “civil liberties” of gay, lesbian and transgender employees. The case has already been made in the public forum that these folks are a protected minority and are not to be discriminated against.
It is also becoming clear from the comments of the POTUS while visiting Ireland, that it is his and the opinion of most progressives that private, especially Christian and Parochial education is one of the primary sources of community conflict. (meaning: These children have escaped the liberal brainwashing provided by most of the public schools).
The opening battle in this war on the First Amendment has already begun over the infringement on religious freedom vis-a-vis the national health care law.

God doesn’t condone the gay lifestyle. Whoever he was talking to, it wasn’t God.

Certainly. Doesn’t mean we tip-toe around the sins they commit, any more than we tip-toe around the sins you or I commit; or do you think God doesn’t love those with SSA enough to rebuke them in their error? Is He a Father, or not?
