That was a great episode last night!

I’m sorry, but I can’t resist pointing this out: the polar bear makes another appearrance, yet Walt is gone. I’m sticking with my theory that the bear is an old Dharma “experiment” gone wrong or something.
I thought about this and then talked it over with a friend. We agreed that all the polar bears Walt manifeted would still be on the island somewhere. Who knows how many he actually imagined.

Speaking of the healings, Locke and Rose were both healed, and Sun was too! She was infertile, remember? But now she’s pregnant.
That’s why I don’t get it about Ben having cancer if everyone else is getting healed. And as a sidenote, I believe it was Jin who was infertile - there seemed to be a question of whether Sun got pregnant through an an affair with her english teacher.
Also, didn’t they say something about Eko going somewhere to study? His brother had planned a trip to London? I think to do further study. After the horrible incident with the killings, didn’t Eko decided to go in his brother’s place? Or did I get that wrong?
That whole thing left me desiring. I don’t know if they were trying to give some sort of excuse on why he was on the plane without actually having time to develop it or what.

Oh, that’s right…Walt had some weird power even back in Australia…we got to see him make a bird fly into the sliding glass door and die when he was upset about his mom talking to the husband instead of him…

So much for that story line…I remember thinking after the end of season one when they took Walt that they did so, not just because he was a child, but because they knew about his ‘ability’ and needed to use it in some way…

Then it turns out they just took him for leverage to get Walt?!?..
so that they could plant him back with the survivors to lure Kate, Sawyer and Jack? Kate and Sawyer’s purpose was only to ‘motivate’ Jack to do the surgery?

Come to think of it…there really are quite a few things wrong with the direction of the story…I just hadn’t stopped to think much about it because the current stories were interesting enough.

When the station imploded, I thought for sure that would reverse the effects of the healing of the island…I’m still waiting to see if Rose gets her cancer back.

You are correct that Jin was the infertile one, but Sun kept that information from him. And yes, there seems to be confusion as to whether or not the baby belongs to the dead lover or Jim.

How long have they been on the island now??? That might help us figure it out. They said Ben got the cancer last week…I think the implosion took place within a matter of days of the last episode though…

Especially when all the “good” people were taken right away, and the others seem to die right after they have faced all their demons and resolved all their past issues.
I just remembered the poor school teacher that got blown up with the dynamite. He didn’t resolve anything, although they never developed his character at all.
Sawyer fans—I think they keep screwing up with him. He’s the most underrated character on the show and has sadly become the most underwritten.
You make some good points. They seemed to have made him less deep and more 2-d the last couple of shows.

If we can believe ANYTHING “the others” say, then Ben had cancer BEFORE the plane crashed.

I’ve been wondering too though about the connection between healing and electromagnetism.

As far as how long they’ve been on the island - that’s something that’s too easy to loose sight of. It’s been over 2 years our time but I’m guessing around 80 - 100 days. Wasn’t it in the 60s when they met up w/ the “tailies”?

Let’s not forget the U.S. Marshall, the lady who drowned in season 1, Boone, Ana-Lucia, and Libby, never got to resolve all of their issues.
