Propaganda? Everything i have stated is known fact. Some of you may wish to hide behind your doubts, but one day you will see if you only read the bible.
Many here read the Bible. After all it is a Catholic Book. Assembled, maintianed, translated, protected, defended, and taught by the Holy Catholic Church.
If you can bring up specific passages to be discussed I am sure there are people here who can address them. Of course if you are closed to anything but your own interpretation…
God gave us knowledge and Jesus told us to ask questions and the Spirit will live within us if we do so. Remember, Jesus was killed because what he was saying went against Jewish law and he was called a blasphemer.
I went through much of the same kinds of things as you mention when I was trying to discern the gospels. I just wasn’t so vehemently opposed to the Church. You, my friend, Have a great deal to learn yet in your journey with Jesus in the Gospels.
Jesus was not killed because he taught against Jewish Law, He was killed because He taught against the corrupt temple practices… In additon He was considered by the Jewish authority and the Romans as a potential threat to the peace of Rome.
Most importantly He died for our sins.
Yes God gave us intelligence, and reason, and free will. He also established a church to spread the Gospel and guard and guide the faithful.
The Pope is no better a person than you or me,he sins just like the rest of us as he is human,
Yes the Holy Father is human. He sins. He has a confessor. He is weak in the eyes of God. But he is also a Human who has spent 60 plus years studying, and preaching, and living the Gospel as God has called Him to do. You consider yourself, with your anger in one hand, and your Bible in the other to be on the same intellectual, or spiritual plane as the Holy father?
remember what Jesus said, “No master is greater than his servant and no servant is greater than his master” as men we are all equal under God.
Why don’t you misquote some more verses out of context.
Luke 6:37-49 37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38 “Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure–pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” 39 And He also spoke a parable to them: "A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40
"A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.
Are you fully trained???
Or are you like the Blind man???
BTW God doesnt accept mastercard or visa.
I cannot think of a Christian response to this bit of gibberish.
Peace
James
