How many prophets?

How many priests, Bishops, Nuns. How many fathers, mothers. How many scientists, one of whom might have found cure for HIV. How many great saints. How many simply boys and girls men and women. How many athletes. How many souls have been returned to God unwanted. How many “gifts” returned unopened.

If Muslims only have one, isn’t that “one” more than Protestants?

Thats true but then how many muslims pay tribute to Mary each year?

That’s odd, since the biggest proponent of Muslim admiration for Mary is…a Christian.

And that Christian is unwittingly promoting Islam.

Also, Muslims see Mary as a Prophet because like others who were visited by Angels, she was addressed directly by God.

Prove it. Show me muslims saying that mary was a prophet.

So why do they have a problem calling her what Elizabeth called her? Mother of God?

Muslims revere her year round.

Protestants treat Mary like they treat the Natitivity Scene. Once they’re done “using” her, they throw her idol “back” in the storage room in a box and never mention her again until they need her to celebrate their ritual of Christmas.

At least Mary gets to be a star in their lives once a year. Muslims do nothing in her honor whatsoever.

As a matter of fact, i’ll make it a point to visit it too if i’m in the area…out of curiosity to see what all the fuss is all about. I suspect its none so muslims do have 1 more than them. But then let me ask you, is paying tribute to mary a regular part of mainstream islamic practices? If you say yes then please prove it. Lets see if that beats the protestant once a year christmas tribute to mary.

Yes. The only proof that I could give you is my Muslim friend’s words to me that they see Mary in a greater manner than do Protestants.

They are taught about her in their classes. Their girls (children) use Mary as an example of how a woman can live a life pleasing to God as part of their ongoing education.

2ndGen, I do not believe it is useful to compare Muslims with Protestants. To say one group love someone more than another is like arguing about which cousin loves their aunt more.
