Man Wearing MAGA Hat Attacked in Maryland Neighborhood​

A legal citizen from Togo was reportedly attacked in Maryland for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat on Saturday, as police have taken two suspects into custody.

The man, who lives in Germantown, Maryland, was reportedly attacked in his neighborhood by two men because he was wearing the hat, in support of President Donald Trump. He was reportedly hit in the head and upper body as the two suspects tried to steal his hat from him, according to ABC7.

The Montgomery County Police Department said the victim, “who was wearing a red, Make America Great Again hat, was approached by two men who began harassing the victim and asking why he was wearing the MAGA hat.”

“The victim told the suspects that he was entitled to his own views and kept walking away from the suspects. The suspects began striking the victim and telling him to take the hat off. The victim continued to be struck by the suspects until he fell to the ground. . . .

With extreme leftists, you are NOT entitled to your own views and THAT was the mistake this poor man made.

Compounding the issue, the victim is a black man (leftists are particularly hard on minorities that do not tow the “progressive” line. At least the “progressives” in America).

Extreme leftists look at people as beasts unable to think thoughts that differ from themselves without being “inferior”.

(This dehumanizing certain people is seen quite starkly in the leftist abortion support for example.)

Because of this elitist view, “Centralized Planning” is part and parcel to the leftist ideology.
(“We leftists NEED to make more and more of their decisions for them. They are mere beasts and are not enlightened as we are.”)

That is where their Statism bisects their elitist outlook.

Since the State is the highest authority in their world, the ends justify the means.

And FORCE can be used to “help” people to think “correctly”.

There are some seeds of truth that get dramatically distorted by the leftists who think this way, and these constant beatings (I have posted many others) is the natural result.

This will only worsen as the Godlessness continues on a larger scale (and the leftist idea of “State” continues to fill that void of God they have chosen to remove).

When it’s cold, I wear a scarf.

It says ‘Forza Napoli’ along it, it’s a soccer supporters’ scarf, I do not live in Naples, I’m not a Naples supporter.

I live in the UK, it annoys some people.

I understand people who wear silly hats.

I just don’t recall an epidemic of people getting beaten up for
wearing “Hope and Change” t-shirts back in '07.

I’m sure a couple of those probably occurred. I just don’t recall any off hand.

I should hope none did and nor do I support or have anything but disgust for people been beaten up simply for wearing MAGA hats. Not being fond of Trump’s political rhetoric does not mean I would in any way countenance or wish people who supported him to be attacked.

Here is an almost certainly homeless gal back in 2016 (even before Trump won, and who didn’t even dare to wear a MAGA cap) getting beaten and mocked for protecting Trump’s Star (and some people still make excuses and/or offer deflections for this kind of behavior!)

Might I suggest using a different word in place of “epidemic.”

Epidemic is from the Latin “epidemia” which had to do with disease. In the interest of the stance you’ve encouraged on not redefining words or invoking usages outside of the prevailing usage the words I would suggest using in place of “epidemic” here include
  • rampant
  • pervasive,
  • permeating
  • common
  • popular
  • typically
The non-disease usage of the word “epidemic” is a more recent usage and part of the semantic shift that the word is experiencing. But in previous discussions on evolving word usage you had expressed a dislike for shifting meanings.

This suggestion does not imply agreement or disagreement with the matter at hand.

Google has a partial shadow-ban on it.

If you put in the exact title, you get four others ahead of it.

Addendum two:

Now when I re-searched it, it changed from number five, to number three about two minutes later.

Now all I am getting is ranked at three (your mileage may vary depending on what Youtube gives you).

Search as I said above, then go down to “TheObamaFile” right under the title.

Addendum three:

Now back to fifth place for me even with the exact title.

Now it is showing up in sixth place.

(I screen captured it otherwise someone may try to say the Youtube games didn’t happen).

The point is, even with the exact title, Youtube will not give you this in first place in your search (for whatever reason. I’m sure there are excuses for this).

Technically, we can tell anyone almost anything. Ofcourse we all also have free will and can usually take or leave a suggestion as we please case by case. You’ve chosen not to accept the suggestion and we are both okay with that.

In either case I’m personally in favor of accepting semantic drift (contrary to my offer of assistance on avoiding an embrace of it). I do find interest in the olde English too. Just this week I was learning more about the letters þ and Ƿ and the spelling rules for using the letter ſ (that last one is the long-s and not the letter f). It’s fascinating stuff. 🙂
