Honest questions:

What exactly does it mean to be Catholic? Does it mean you say you’re Catholic? You attend Catholic mass on a regular basis? Where does believing in Church teaching fit in? If one is Catholic for an hour on Sunday but repeatedly lives out a witness that is in defiance of several Church teachings during the week, is that person a solid Catholic?
I don’t think that there is much of anything to be gained from a layman’s thoughts on the subtle aspects of these questions. A priest or bishop must deal with these questions, I am grateful that I need not.

On the other hand, it is not unclear or uncharitable to note that people who belong to, and practice religions outside of the Catholic communion are, in fact, outside of the Catholic communion.

These people outraged at Trump’s comments are the same ones who ran interference for an actual sexual predator in the White House, ignoring Bill Clinton’s serial pants-dropping, groping and raping for nearly a decade, while gleefully vilifying his accusers, and would have been happy to continue if Bill Richardson had become president.
Gross. Can’t any of them ever stay faithful to their wives?

I agree. However, I wouldn’t go so far as to say VP Pence is not a solid Christian. I also might wonder if part of the reason he left the Church could’ve been because of seeing many professing the faith while taking antithetical stances in public.

Doing things like performing civil marriage ceremonies for same sex couples or earning a near “perfect” rating from NARAL? See, those are the kind of actions in direct contradiction to Church teaching that leave me wondering what I am not hearing at mass that others are hearing.

You keep reverting to a tu quoque appeal – “they did it (or worse) so whatever has been said here is okay.” That’s just false. I’ve drawn conclusions about the marchers and their behaviors. Now I’m speaking about the claim that they must have been “PMSing” to act as they did. Again, it’s a disgusting assumption. Disagree all you want with the marchers – I have as well. But don’t stoop to their level by justifying sexist language.
To correct your record I did not say the marchers must have been PMSing to act as they did, that’s your spin and misguided interpretation of what I actually did say and is your own assumption. You should maybe go back and read my exact words. It’s also not even remotely close to being sexist language or an attack on women, since women do PMS you know… it’s called dry humor and maybe some people should try it sometime.

OK so he a liar who boasts emptily of sexual prowess. How presidential.

Actually just the opposite is true. The people who were shocked, shocked by BC, are dreamily dismissive of Trump - who has the deviance to be public with his vulgarity with TV and radio interviewers and cannot bring himself to speak with a contrite heart.

I am not sure who might have voted for BC after the facts became clear. But the simple reality is no one did.
I can rattle off 100+ plus people who “supported” and justified BC behavior after the facts became clear. No on said anyone voted for him after the facts just that people ran interference for BC, including many who “act” outraged over Trumps comments.

I disagree. Marching, exercising the right to free speech, to gather peacefully, to speak up for wrongs that need to be righted is a time honorable tradition, and we certainly note them in our history.

I know people who marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. His speech at the Lincoln Memorial is considered one of America’s finest. And it changed history.

Women Suffragists who marched on Washington after the Inauguration of Woodrow Wilson brought the right for women to vote.

In 1989, in China, the Tiananmen Square protests became a part of history. Those who were martyred are still in our memory.

Our voices and presence makes a difference. Please don’t ever deny anyone the right to protest where we see wrong. Or denigrate those who do.
The marches you reference here were all done with honor and respect. Like the solidarity movement in Poland where not a single window was broken.

However, this march was filled with obscenities in front of little children. And a keynote speaker (the president of planned parenthood) who pushes evil.

Time to backtrack before you assumed what my opinion was. Someone brought up the idea of a Catholic men’s conference and mentioned various subjects discussed at them. I pointed out that none of those are actually men’s issues, just a discussion about how men can modify their behavior to better serve female interests and be reminded of how terrible and oppressive they are to boot.
Attend a Catholic Men’s Conference and then get back to me.

God Bless

It’s not a disgusting comment. I’m a women and it’s exactly what the marches looked like.

Madonna talking about blowing up the White House…

Ashley Judd reading poem about Trump having sex with his daughter…

Protesters chanting Trump is Hitler…

This wasn’t about women’s rights it was a liberal assault on Donald Trump.

I’ve never heard such vile disgusting dialogue from a national platform in my life and
I actually find it to be a disgrace that is called a Women’s March and that any women would be proud of today. What kind of women are they? Pitiful! Is this now acceptable behavior? It is as if they have no respect even for themselves.

I am not a “disgrace to women” because I don’t support the women’s march.
I do not feel I am a “second class citizen” because I am a woman.
I do not feel my voice is “not heard” because I am a woman.
I do not feel I am not provided opportunities in this life or in America because I am a woman.
I do not feel that I “don’t have control of my body or choices” because I am a woman.
I do not feel like I am " not respected or undermined" because I am a woman.

I AM a woman.
I can make my own choices.
I can speak and be heard.
I can VOTE.
I can work if I want.
I control my body.
I can defend myself.
I can defend my family.
There is nothing stopping me to do anything in this world but MYSELF.

I do not blame my circumstances or problems on anything other than my own choices or even that sometimes in life, we don’t always get what we want.
I take responsibility for myself.
I am a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend.
I am not held back in life but only by the walls I choose to not go over which is a personal choice.
Quit blaming.
Take responsibility.

If you want to speak, do so. But do not expect for me, a woman, to take you seriously wearing a pink va-jay-jay hat on your head and screaming profanities and bashing men.

If you have beliefs, and speak to me in a kind manner, I will listen. But do not expect for me to change my beliefs to suit yours. Respect goes both ways.

If you want to impress me, especially in regards to women, then speak on the real injustices and tragedies that affect women in foreign countries that do not have the opportunity or means to have their voices heard:

Saudi Arabia, women can’t drive, have no rights and must always be covered.

China and India, infantcide of baby girls.

Afghanistan, unequal education rights.

Democratic Republic of Congo, where rapes are brutal and women are left to die, or HIV infected and left to care for children alone.

Mali, where women can not escape the torture of genital mutilation.

Pakistan, in tribal areas where women are gang raped to pay for men’s crime.

Guatemala, the impoverished female underclass of Guatemala faces domestic violence, rape and the second-highest rate of HIV/AIDS after sub-Saharan Africa. An epidemic of gruesome unsolved murders has left hundreds of women dead, some of their bodies left with hate messages.

And that’s just a few examples.

So when women get together in AMERICA and act like they did today and march in their clean clothes, after eating a hearty breakfast, and it’s like a vacation away that they have paid for to get there…

This WOMAN does not support it.
:clapping:

I have no idea. I’m not a woman (or man) who has used PP for any health services. So I don’t know the circumstances of anyone who has, where they live, if PP is their closest provider for services and referrals for what they can afford. Or why PP is the provider they have chosen to go to and to trust. So I can’t speak for them. Just as I can’t know why anyone chooses any healthcare provider they rely on and trust without them telling me. I may be many things but a mind reader is not one of them.
  1. Obamacare basically made birth control pills prescribed by an OB/GYN free
  2. Women already had affordable access to an OB/GYN and now have free access to their OB/GYN if they didn’t before.
Women are far better off going to their OB/GYN for women’s health issues.

So what function does Planned Parenthood have other than enabling fonrication among teens and abortion?

Honest question. I googled and found that he is being investigated by his own bishop, and had also been criticized by other bishops. Presumably this is not news to those who think that his connection to Trump is worth mentioning.
He is being investigated for using an unborn fetus in a video promoting Trump. The little baby was naked and put on the altar.

The altar is to be only used for the Mass. And murder victims should be given proper funerals including funeral garments, not naked.

But many ostensibly outraged by the behavior of BC, voted for Trump for POTUS with the facts of his deviance before them.
I was a victim of similar behavior described on the videotape when I was just 14. I wasn’t a groupie. I did get to hug Donnie Wahlberg once. That’s all.

What’s Trump deviances? That he said the word p*ssy, in a secretly recorded conversation 11 years before he ran for President? Trump vs BC not on the same level.

Eleven years before Sen. Teddy Kennedy ran for president, he killed a girl but he ran, not only without apology, but, indeed, as the Conscience of the Democratic Party.

nytlive.nytimes.com/womenintheworld/2017/01/20/billionaire-george-soros-has-ties-to-more-than-50-partners-of-the-womens-march-on-washington/

By my draft research, which I’m opening up for crowd-sourcing on GoogleDocs, Soros has funded, or has close relationships with, at least 56 of the march’s “partners,” including “key partners” Planned Parenthood, which opposes Trump’s anti-abortion policy, and the National Resource Defense Council, which opposes Trump’s environmental policies. The other Soros ties with “Women’s March” organizations include the partisan MoveOn.org (which was fiercely pro-Clinton), the National Action Network (which has a former executive director lauded by Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett as “a leader of tomorrow” as a march co-chair and another official as “the head of logistics”). Other Soros grantees who are “partners” in the march are the American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. March organizers and the organizations identified here haven’t yet returned queries for comment.
I think he’s paying some of the violent protesters too.

I wonder how many know this interesting bit of history?

Trump boasted to a TV interviewer about his sexual assaults. Trump willingly accepted a radio interviewer’s lewd comments about his own daughter. We have had many situations in which people sin. But statements in public fora championing sin is a new frontier.

I think that our memory needs some refreshing, although it is mystifying why it is of interest to reflect on Teddy. You should note, however, that Kennedy was rejected by voters in the primary.

Please there is no sexual assault. He used the words “They let you”. That is consent
I’m not proud of the radio show. Its a lewd show for a lewd audience
