I feel like we are only or at least mainly talking about abortion and a few of the keynote speakers in relation to this march. Yes, it was bad that the pro life co sponsor was dropped, but abortion is not the only issue or even the primary issue for many of the marchers. I feel like we’re arguing over this one aspect of the march and also engaging in a “who is most vulgar” contest and ignoring other issues. There was a focus on LGBTQ rights, immigration, and race relations, too. And yes, people are angry at how Trump treated women. Like Megyn Kelly during the campaign. It wasn’t just the Billy Bush video that got people up in arms, and the outrage over that was not just about the swearing. It didn’t help, but that wasn’t the main problem. For myself, I didn’t care much about the video until I listened to it and realized it really did have overtones of sexual assault. As someone who has been assaulted, that was incredibly disturbing and sickening. That’s what I heard people talking about. Not that he used the p word in and of itself.
