Views on Marijuana and or the legalization of the drug… Give opinions please! Personally I see nothing wrong with it.
It is a harmful drug when used without medical supervision or subscription. This risk is significantly increased when it is used with other legal drugs such as booze.Views on Marijuana and or the legalization of the drug… Give opinions please! Personally I see nothing wrong with it.
My own views on marijuana and the legalization of it are thisViews on Marijuana and or the legalization of the drug… Give opinions please! Personally I see nothing wrong with it.
First of all, why don’t you see anything wrong w/ it. What makes it acceptable?Views on Marijuana and or the legalization of the drug… Give opinions please! Personally I see nothing wrong with it.
Could you explain why you think one impairs the conscience (i.e., the ability to distinguish right from wrong) and the other doesn’t?And don’t compare it to alcohol. I can have a beer or a glass of wine with friends without my conscience being impaired. One joint will affect the conscience.
Why does anyone smoke MJ? For what reason?Could you explain why you think one impairs the conscience (i.e., the ability to distinguish right from wrong) and the other doesn’t?
I think that it is strongly comparable to Alcohol, because Alcohol has a clear wider negative impact, at least to us Australians who are more affected by it because it has become a major part of our culture. On a case by case basis, it is indeed less dangerous, but Alcoholism is rampaging through our youth over here in Australia, and it is a bigger political issue here than illegal drugs are. Binge Drinking has become a major part of our society over here in Australia and the police and our hospitals cannot cope. It has made its way in through the back door while weve been guarding the front. There’s only one reason for using it recreationally - for the high - which is when your conscience is deadened.
Anything that shuts down or impairs the conscience is morally wrong.
On the issue of medical MJ…I’m saying the jury is out on this, so I have no opinion - but I lean toward “yes” - however, those who obtain such a legal exception for this ALWAYS push further. They won’t stop until full legalization.

Actually it is not.I think that it is strongly comparable to Alcohol,
Because Jesus drank alcohol. Think about it. If drinking alcohol (on a moderate level) impairs the ability to distinguish right from wrong that means that Jesus would have been unable to distinguish right from wrong.Could you explain why you think one impairs the conscience (i.e., the ability to distinguish right from wrong) and the other doesn’t?
I don’t believe that it is a Sin. That’s not what I said.Because Jesus drank alcohol. Think about it. If drinking alcohol (on a moderate level) impairs the ability to distinguish right from wrong that means that Jesus would have been unable to distinguish right from wrong.
Alcohol is clearly acceptable because God in the flesh drank it. If drinking alcohol was a sin, then Jesus would not have done it.
Now I don’t know anywhere, either in the Gospels or anecdotally, where him or the disciples ever smoked anything…
I am against the recreational use of it, but I’m not for or against the Medicinal usage of it. I do not agree with the legalization of it, except in medical cases where it may actually help.Actually it is not.
The purpose of recreational MJ is only to get high. When one is high, their conscience is messed up.
Same thing with getting drunk. Drunkeness is immoral.
But not the same thing with having one beer with friends, or a glass of wine with family.
Getting high is not the only purpose of marijuana. I’ve toked up many times before just to relax and enjoy a bowl or two with friends. We often don’t reach levels of impairment, and just enjoy each other’s company. How is that different from drinking with friends.Actually it is not.

Your statement seems to be making the claim that beer/wine use is the same as MJ use.Getting high is not the only purpose of marijuana.
