Mary a heavenly mother?

Would you kneel at the side of your mother’s bed, to ask her to pray for you and your friends and enemies?

Kneeling does not mean, “I put you in a place not yours but God’s alone!”

Kneeling means, “I put you in high esteem, since you can help me to implore God for help”…

I would kneel with my mom but not to her.

Mary, as Mother of God, is all humanity’s mother; the Mother of her Son, our Brother, Jesus,… and the Pope, as I recall, is one with us in our humanity…

How can Mary be the mother of us all if she had a mother?

We do ask the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and the Communion of Saints, which includes Mary in a very special and uique way.

Why would you limit yourself to asking for help from only a portion of those capable of helping you ask for help from God?.

It seems that those in the Bible limited themslves as well, I do not see any examples of praying to anyone other than God.

Yur questions aren’t silly at all. Your understanding of the Communion of Saints is just a bit lacking…

These are honest questions and I will admit that I am lacking in the Catholic understanding of the Communion of Saints.

Jesus “gave the appearence” of being a person UTTERLY condemned in the bible. A “blasphemor who said he was God”.

Does that make Jesus “wrong”…?.

How can God blaspheme

Because it is NOT the appearance of idolatry, once it is actually SEEN, and not merely hallucinated.

If to “see” a person begging their mother to pray for him is to “see” idolatry, then the “seer” is having some serious problems with perception.

And their problem is entirely one of prejudice, based on the evil intentions of those who would like to see a son asking his mother for her prayers destroyed for being “evil”…

Sorry, but I do trust my eyes to a certain degree, if it looks like a duck and …

That’s your right, of course. It states your opinion of the Mother of our Lord quite well. Thanks for the clarity as to your opinions.

She is the mother of Him who created all. You may want to look into the concept of the Communion of Saints.

Prayer to others than God is requesting help, requesting THEIR prayer, by having them pray as we would pray to God.

When we talk to Mary, who is alive in heaven, and ask her to pray for and with us.

Once again, to understand this you must understand what the communion of saints is. If you are interested in this subject whatsoever, and you don’t investigate the communion of saints, then you prove you’re not really interested in understanding this subject.

He can’t. That’s the point. Jesus’ APPEARANCE is as one blaspheming. But the appearance is wrong, and it is wrong because it is not understood for what it really is, but understood only through the eyes of “prejudice”.

Then you would have crucified Jesus for His blasphemous appearance.

I don’t ask that you disbelieve your eyes, just that you honestly inquire about what you SEEM to be seeing so as to gain understanding of it.

If your intention is not to understand, then what is the purpose of your “inquiry”…?
