Intercessary Prayers by the Sains

Hebrews 12.1 speaks of “a great cloud of witnesses” who surround us, and who consist of the faithful holy ones of God. Many examples of these witnesses are given in the preceding Chapter 11 of Hebrews.

Later in the Bible we see this vision of heaven:

Revelation 4.4: Surrounding the throne were twenty four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.
Revelation 5.8: …and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

The twenty-four elders are shown offering the prayers of Christians to God; which is a mediatory role.

**Kneeling doesn’t mean worshsip **

Genesis 43:26
Then Joseph came in to his house, and they offered him the presents, holding them in their hands; and they **bowed down **with their face to the ground.

Here we see it is a usual greeting to proskuneo someone.

Matthew 18:26
But that servant falling down, besought him, saying: Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

Remember that story? The servant wasn’t *adoring *the person he owed money to, was he!? No, of course not! Nowhere is this falling down and beseeching condemned. But let’s move on:
1 Kings 25:41 [1 Samuel 25:41]
And she arose, and bowed herself down with her face to the earth, and said: Behold, let thy servant be a handmaid, to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

Here, again, she is not worshipping David or his servant, but she is* paying reverence* to him.

why do catholics adore mary, who is just a human being? catholics do not adore mary;we venerated and honor her. why? the angels calls her" full of grace,“and one who has"found favor with god’(lk1:28,30);elizabeth,filled with the holy spirit calls her"blessed are you among women”(verse42);and mary herself declares that “all generations will call me blessed”(verse 48). catholics, following scripture, always call her blessed. do you? santa maria madre de dios ruega por nosotros…:blessyou:
