Hi

If Mary was ever assumed to heaven, kindly quote from Bible. Kindly mention the year of her assumption, and the last place where from she was assumed ; please give all this information from Bible.

I love blessed Mary.

Jesus could assert himself for his claims and reasons; he needed no Paul/s, in my opinion; **I love Jesus **for his wisdom. Jesus feared nobody except GodAllahYHWH whose humble servant Jesus was, in my opinion.

Thanks
It’s not scriptural it is tradition…It has been taught almost 2000

There are many things that we believe that aren’t is scripture butr are dogmas…The Trinity is not in scripture but we are taught God is 3 in one

Catholics do not use the Bible as their only source… I will believe my church rather than a book written by someone I have never heard of, for money

Why are you deminding proof from the Bible about Mary, when you reject what it says about Jesus?

Not only Mary, everybody believed in Jesus as the only way to God, will be raised to heaven. See John 11:25-26.

In our Catholic Bible it mentions Women of the Bible, Yes, Our Lady was the Virgin chosen among all the women of Judea to be the Mother of God. The 4 Holy Gospels ,Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, deal mostly with the aspects of Our Lord's life as a child, and as an adult later in life till His Passion etc. In certain parts like his first miracle the Marriage Feast at Cana, the changing of the water into wine, Mary told her Son they have no wine. He later changed the water in wine. There are other instances of Our Lady interventions. At the Crucifixion, one of Christ's last words was Woman behold thy son, son, (St John the Evangelist) behold thy mother. Our Lady became a Mother to all of us at this instance( 2nd Announciation) . and she also needed a guardian to watch over her and take care of her. Then the women at the Tomb of Our Lord, the Appariation of the Angels.
Even before this there were like in St. Luke the Praises of Mary others instances.

It wasn’t till later in the centuries that Our Lady appeared at Lourdes, and other appariations and through later ages, the Saints revelations did Our Lord and Our Lady allow these revelations to come to pass.

I am not a theologian. okay? Blessed are those who have not see but have believed.

Hi

When all the men disciples had fled; the ladies did not budge and remained steadfast with the suffering Jesus on the Cross and later around the tomb. The ladies deserved to succeed Jesus in his absence, in my opinion.

Paul denied succession to Mary, in my opinion.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

To Ahmed,
St. Paul, loved and respected The Mother of God, In the City of God (Agreda-Corination) I know it mentions very little or none of St. Paul meeting of our Lady. But in private revelations through the Catholic Saints or in books about St. Paul the Apostle there is mention of his meetings with her and the apostles and disciplies. In the Office of Our Lady it mentions the devoted female sex, who had humble supplication of reverance for the Lord. It is something like a humble prayer not to forget the women who were devoted to our Lord's group who were among His followers who helped Him in His work.:)

Hi

I think Mary did die and is buried in a grave.

I have read in “The Kerala Church” by Antony Nirappel,
Changanacherry Kerala, India and I quote:

ewtn.com/library/HOMELIBR/KERALA.TXT

There is an ancient work known as , originally written in Edessa in the second or early third century. Its Syriac, Greek, Latin, Armenian and Coptic editions acquired wide publicity in the Middle East in the early centuries.

Since its theme is based on tradition, it has historic importance. It narrates that Thomas went to the court of King Gondophares in North India and preachedthere for some years, after which, becoming aware of the demise ofthe Blessed Virgin Mary, he went back to Jerusalem; that on the second journey, the Apostle came to Malabar, established theChurch and preached there for many years; that he then went to theCoromandel Coast, where he died a martyr at Calamina (Mylapore) by the order of Masdai, king of that place.[5]

ewtn.com/library/HOMELIBR/KERALA.TXT

Holger Kerston, a German research Scholar, also is said to have mentioned in his book “Jesus Lived in India” that Mary died and is buried in Murree:

sol.com.au/kor/7_01.htm

There is also much historical truth in the towns and villages of Northern India to prove that Jesus and his mother Mary spent time in the area. For instance, at the border of a small town called Mari, there is nearby a mountain called Pindi Point, upon which is an old tomb called Mai Mari da Asthan or “The final resting place of Mary”.

The tomb is said to be very old and local Muslims venerate it as the grave of Issa’s (ie Christ’s) Mother.

The tomb itself is oriented East-West consistent with the Jewish tradition, despite the fact it is within a Muslim area. Assuming its antiquity, such a tomb could not be Hindu either since the Hindus contemporary to Christ cremated their dead and scattered their ashes as do Hindus today.

It’s difficult to see your point. Even from the quotes you provide: St. Thomas going back to Jerusalem from India upon learning of Mary’s death; and then, Mary’s final resting place in India. What, did St. Thomas take her back to India just to bury her?
It makes no sense.

Mari can refer to more than the mother of Jesus. There are several Mary’s of the New Testament. Murree (Mari), the name of the town in Pakistan, comes from the word for “high place.” See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murree

Besides this, the Acts of Thomas nowhere mentions Mary.

Earliest extra-canonical writings concerning Mary after the Resurrection rather point to Mary as falling asleep and assumed into heaven.

John the Beloved Disciple remained.

What absence?

Hi

word for “high place.”, is also a good explanation. “The name Murree is derived from ‘marhi’, “high place”[2] although there is a popular belief it is named after the virgin Mary- wikipedia”.

Please tell me to which language this word ‘marhi’, “high place” belongs.

So, I think, Mary was assumed to a “high place” only and Paul/s mistook as assumption to heaven/sky, in my opinion.

Jesus also ascended only to a high place Sirinagar, India; but Paul/s mistook as ascension to heaven/skies, in my opinion.

I love Jesus and I would defend Jesus against bad intentions of Paul/s for his own motives. It is my opinion only, please

Thanks

Hi

The more Authentic Gospel of Matthew does not mention that John was there, in my opinion.

**Jesus’ absence **means that he had gone from Galilee to India and the neighboring countries to convey the Message of GodAllahYHWH to the lost ten tribes of Israel who were settled there, in my opinion.

I love Jesus and therefore expose Paul/s for the dis-service he has done to Jesus, in my opinion.

How can you love Jesus and Mary if they are dead and buried?

If Jesus was just a prophet and is dead and buried that means Jesus was a liar and a fraud.

It means that the 1 billion Christians were led astray to a false teaching!

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Mark
mark,
We all know Jesus is risen. He sits at the right hand of God the Father.
The Bible is silent as to what happened to Mary. I’m absolutely sure she’s in heaven with her Son.
I just noticed, your not a christian are you?

I’ll pray for you,

Earliest extra-canonical writings concerning The Blessed Virgin Mary after the Ressurrectin rather point are true she fell asleep on August 13 at 72 years of age later on August 15, was assumed into Heaven. her perfect body joined her blessed soul in heaven where she was joined with Her Son Jesus and His Heavenly Father, and The Holy Ghost the Spouse:) , The Blessed Trinity and the rest of Heaven’s Blessed

When St. Thomas went to India, I read he asked the women kindly to wear their Saris, in a speacil way. I read that in Anne Catherine Emerich. she was a german visionary who also saw the Life of Our Lord in visions. Some of the other saints also did which are revealed.

Our Lady had an older sister and a niece. Salome and the other’s name was I don’t recall???. Some of the apostles were cousins of Our Lord and nephews.St. John, St. James, St. Jude Thaddeus and Simon?. it is hard for me to distinguish. Salome’s husband was crucified like his Master. He was made a bishop.

Our Lady was buried in the Jesophat Valley in Jerusaleum? and after ascending into Heaven to join Her Son Jesus a sweet smell of roses pervaded the area for a while. City of God, Agreda, Corination.

How about this…show us the graves, both of the Blessed Virgin and of Jesus that you claim are in India. Allow us to remove the bodies and destroy them for genetic and other testing. Then we might know.
I’ve never had the answer, we have similar threads before. they just showed me all bunch of thesis without any physical evidence:confused: .

It belongs to the local dialect. The word is ultimately derived from Sanskrit.

For the ressurrected Christ, victorious over death, to then collapse into death and decay in an Indian tomb is not sensible, and contradicts the Apostolic witness.

I don’t see much room for mistake. If Mary were simply assumed to a “high place,” and there buried and decaying, there would be mention of her tomb there, which would preclude an understanding of her being assumed, or of her empty tomb in Jerusalem. I see no reason to believe Mary went to India. The Acts of Thomas nowhere mention her, and tradition holds that she spent her years in Ephesus and Jerusalem.

What makes the Gospel of Matthew (or the Synoptics in general) more authentic than the Gospel of John? All four gospels have Apostolic roots, and all four were accepted very early on as authentic by the early Christians, such as St. Irenaeus.

The exile of the 10 tribes of Israel happened over a number of years. The Assyrians did settle considerable numbers of Israelites in the land of the Medes, but under Sargon II, who conquered Samaria, the Assyrian Empire did not extend any further eastwards, and certainly not as far as the Indus river. The later Persian Empire made it that far, but not the Assyrians.

Now, interestingly, there are groups in India, as well as in other places in the world (e.g. Ethiopia), that claim to be one of the lost tribes of Israel. Yet, I also think it also has to be taken into serious consideration that the 10 lost tribes were assimilated into the native populations, and so ceased to be visible tribes. The Christian understanding of the return of the 10 tribes is that they are brought in with the Gentiles with whom they became integrated.

The Apostles were given the commission to spread the Gospel to the nations. It would be interesting if Jesus had gone to India, but all the sources indicate his ministry was concentrated in a smaller area between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea, with a short trip to the coastal city of Tyre. According to an early tradition, King Abgar of Edessa sent Jesus a letter asking him to come to Edessa to heal his illness. Jesus declined but promised to send a disciple in the future. The overall implication is that the Apostles would continue amongst the nations what Jesus began amongst the Jews.

Just because Matthew didn’t mention it doesn’t mean John wasn’t there. And all four gospels are authentic otherwise they would not be in the Bible.

Out of curiousity, when Paul was writing all these lies about Jesus weren’t the other apostles and disciples of Jesus still alive, and thus, couldn’t they have stopped him from distorting the truth. You forget that St. Paul was killed for what you claim is a lie, and who would be stupid enough to die for a lie of their own making.

Just because Matthew didn’t mention it doesn’t mean John wasn’t there.
Hi friend josie L!

If you just think for a while; you would realize that John could’t be there.

It cannot be that Jesus uttered a senteces on the Cross and others would have forgotten to record it. If Jesus would have given Mary in charge of John for care in his absence; every body present must have remembered it. These were perhaps last words of Jesus on the Cross; if those who were present could afford to neglect it, then one may ask then, what was the purpose of their presence there. Was it just a scene to enjoy with? Impossible, in my opinion.

Why should have Jesus put Mary in the care of John, to start with?

If as our Catholic friends believe Catholic-god-Jesus was to come alive as soon he was dead on the Cross; logically he needed not to put Mary in anybody’s care. He would be himself there to take care of her. He could have even earlier sent Mary to heavens; if he was so much worried about her.

This also shows that Jesus did not died on Cross and he went alongwith Mary to India where he died a natural and peaceful death, as also his mother Mary.

You may think on these lines, if you may, no compulsion, please.

I love Jesus and John the Baptist; both born naturally and normally of their mothers; they both were equally Word of God, and of course Adam might be a Word of God also. This is what is described to be Word became flesh; all three persons mentioned above were Words became flesh, in my opinion.

Thanks

Hello Paarsurrey,

I noticed that you did not fully respond to my post. Please refer back to it and see what I wrote about Saint Paul, whom Paarsurrey you should love just as much as Saint John the Baptist.

I love Jesus the Word of God and Mary, the Mother of the Word of God.

P. S. Paarsurrey, do you mind telling me where you live (in which Country is what I ask)?

God Bless!
