Hi
I think Mary did die and is buried in a grave.
I have read in “
The Kerala Church” by
Antony Nirappel,
Changanacherry Kerala, India and I quote:

There is an ancient work known as , originally written in Edessa in the second or early third century. Its Syriac, Greek, Latin, Armenian and Coptic editions acquired wide publicity in the Middle East in the early centuries.
Since its theme is based on tradition, it has historic importance. It narrates that Thomas went to the court of King Gondophares in North India and preachedthere for some years, after which, becoming aware of the demise ofthe Blessed Virgin Mary, he went back to Jerusalem; that on the second journey, the Apostle came to Malabar, established theChurch and preached there for many years; that he then went to theCoromandel Coast, where he died a martyr at Calamina (Mylapore) by the order of Masdai, king of that place.[5]

Holger Kerston, a German research Scholar, also is said to have mentioned in his book “Jesus Lived in India” that Mary died and is buried in Murree:

There is also much historical truth in the towns and villages of Northern India to prove that Jesus and his mother Mary spent time in the area. For instance, at the border of a small town called Mari, there is nearby a mountain called Pindi Point, upon which is an old tomb called Mai Mari da Asthan or “The final resting place of Mary”.
The tomb is said to be very old and local Muslims venerate it as the grave of Issa’s (ie Christ’s) Mother.
The tomb itself is oriented East-West consistent with the Jewish tradition, despite the fact it is within a Muslim area. Assuming its antiquity, such a tomb could not be Hindu either since the Hindus contemporary to Christ cremated their dead and scattered their ashes as do Hindus today.
