I thought I would take more time and see what Masons in Wisconsin are taught regarding religion and their official position. Here is the official version of what John Salza was taught;
wisc-freemasonry.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/12-Masonry-Religion.pdf
This is from the Wisconsin Masonic handbook, as you are aware that Grand Lodge decided what the official position will be and no one else for that jurisdiction. As you can see it makes no claims of being a religion so theology, doctrine and dogma are outside of its function. Or as it is officially stated “the Craft’s only purpose is to help make good men better and that it supports its members in their religious faith”, further stated officially ( wisc-freemasonry.org/wi-freemasonry/ ) “Therefore … I believe that freedom of religion is an inalienable human right and tolerance an indispensable trait of human character, I will stand in my lodge with Brothers of all faiths, and respect their belief, as they respect mine”. Did you notice it does not say agree only respect.

I took some time to see just what John’s former Grand Lodge position is on religion and theology, as I expected it does not have one.

BTW… I did find this site interesting catholicintl.com/catholicissues/salzafm.pdf

Uh, the Masons are nothing like the Knights of Columbus. Do some research and you will see that Masons have pushed for secularism throughout the world, have attempted to infiltrate the Vatican at high levels, have contributed to instability throughout Latin and South America in order to bring about the downfall of the Church and much more. No, they are not harmless men riding around in little cars and funny hats, although at the lowest levels this may be the image of masonry. It is a false religion that masquerades as a group of benevolent and enlightened men who do good works. Sadly, the truth is far more sinister and many rank and file members have no idea what they are participating in.
True…the bottom line with most masons is that they want to use it to get themselves ahead. That position at the police headquarters, or city council or business opportunities. they want an edge over non masons. And these are just the people at the bottom.
