Masses cancelled? Not to fear!

You do realize that thousands are infected, have no symptoms, yet can easily transmit the viirus? Do some diligence on he virus. This virus is worse than the “Spanish” flu, Avian flu and all others. It is worse than SARS.

Look, we all want to offer the sacrifice of the mass, but God has graced us with the virtue of prudence. You might be infected right now. Until you are tested, you cannot be certain.

If this still bothers you, call and speak with Father.

Our Bishop just mandated that Mass attendance be limited to 250 people or less while our sister diocese next door cancelled all of their Masses.
How exactly do they limit masses to 250 people? Do they actually have someone go and count everyone?

The Lord looked out upon the crowds and they were as sheep without a shepherd.

Not much seems to have changed.

I went to the vigil Mass. There was no counting and my priest doesn’t intend to change anything even though the bishop said no more than 250 people. So there’s that.

I went to Mass and there were fewer people attending (less than half the usual). Lord, thanks for the opportunity to partake in the Eucharist, this great gift you grant us for our spiritual benefit.

I went to mass this morning, still quite a few people. No hymn books now and no passing collection basket. I’m guessing most people touched the door handle to get in though. It could be the last Sunday mass I go to for a while though, just have to see. Somebody died in my county now.

How irresponsible. I expect better from our priests. That’s the kind of behavior that makes it better to suspend Masses completely.
