The Church did not give us the scriptures, the Spirit of the living God was the only one who knew what was inspired and what was not.
Yep. And what was the human institution that He chose to share this information with us? Oh yeah, that’s right: the Church. More to the point, the Catholic Church. (On behalf of the Catholic Church: you’re welcome.

)
He DID worked through members of the Church
No… not through
members of the Church, but rather – and more to the point! – through
the leaders of the Church.
but He got the credit alone, not because of any human being.
Yeah… and?
After all, what I’m claiming is simply that it was through the Church that Jesus founded that the Scriptures were given to us… and now, you’re dissing that Church. Not cool.
God did give us authority (but it was not singular as you suppose) to properly interpret scriptures. This authority work through those in Christ who have, with all diligence, and under the leadership of the Spirit, interpret properly. It has never been a select group
OK. Show me, then, that this is the case.
In Scripture, we see that apostles – that is, the leadership of the Church – interpret Scripture. Can you show that others do, as well?
(And be careful before you point out the Bereans – they don’t
interpret Scripture, they simply
utilize existing understandings of it in their discernment of daily life situations…

)
But before the ink could dry, it was called the word of God.
Actually… before the ink was dry, the word of God was
already being taught – by apostles (that is, by the leaders of the Church).
But interpreting scripture is a science of common sense rules that for centuries did not exist and we have paid the price for it today.
Again: show me. Where does Scripture say that interpretation is merely a matter of ‘common sense’ and not an
exercise of authoritative leadership?
