Mary was not just the Mother of Jesus, She is the “Woman” that brought forth the Child that would crush the head of Satan. Hail FULL of Grace! The Second Eve, “Mother of all.” She, herself said "From henceforth all generations will call me Blessed. At the Wedding Feast at Cana, she said, “Do as HE tells you.!!” That goes for us too. HE loves Her more than we ever could. He is not jealous of our love for her. That’s foolish to think so! HE is not that petty. HE loves, we love! God Bless, Memaw
Ave Maria!

👍🙂

No one obeyed better than the Blessed Virgin, full of grace from the beginning, and growing in that grace through faith, hope, and love of the Lord.

It is good to imitate her virtues for the greater glory of her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ!
Thank you, this was very helpful. 🙂

My question is if the physical catholic church was responsible for the canonization of scripture, why does the bible not suggest mary in scripture to have such reverence? Jesus in scripture, as written by it’s authors, does not suggest equality with any one but God. And this is not a disregard of Mary, but a question of this notion that christians are less than because they do not worship/revere mary as divinity. Actually he is quite specific in saying such things as no one comes to the Father but by Him. I as well as many worship Jesus as God incarnate. God Almighty, with no questions or confusion of the triune nature of God. We do not dismiss mary, but do not view her as divinity with God. None catholic or evangelical or pentecostal has absolute knowledge of God. One thing I can feel confident in is EVERY man’s fallability. If the apostles were fallable in their thinking one greater than the other as being the greatest disciple, those who walked with God in the flesh, surely a man in this dispensation in time is entitled to his OPINION and tradition and doctrine and I my own without being LABELED and CONDEMNED slyly. Tradition is just that, tradition. God met many people where they were and THEY WERE SAVED by Him Alone. All the continual condemnation from the catholic church on the sly or however is not needed. Let every many workout their own salvation. No church is perfect. If it were, there would be no discussions of blemishes about such churches. All men are fallable in their minds. And my in all of christiandom purport to be an intercessor to even Jesus who is available to all without church doctrine, tradition, and one’s opinion blocking this. JESUS is sufficient.

Hi! So you do not think that to be obedient to God is reverent? I would put the question back to you and ask what behaviour you think it is that a person is filled with grace?

Not even Jesus assumed equality with God but put Himself on the level of humans (although He spoke and acted with authority as also being God).

What do you mean by Mary’s ‘divinity’?
Actually he is quite specific in saying such things as no one comes to the Father but by Him. I as well as many worship Jesus as God incarnate. God Almighty, with no questions or confusion of the triune nature of God. We do not dismiss mary, but do not view her as divinity with God.
I think the confusion here is what you think the term ‘by Him’ means? Are not His grace and His gifts also for us in order that we might come by Him, and if so, considering He gave them, wouldn’t it be ungrateful not to accept them?

Jesus gave authority to Peter and upon Peter the Church was formed. Jesus said this in Scripture.
Tradition is just that, tradition. God met many people where they were and THEY WERE SAVED by Him Alone. All the continual condemnation from the catholic church on the sly or however is not needed. Let every many workout their own salvation.
God saves.

Then we may as well do as we please…? Is this not a form of relativism?
No church is perfect. If it were, there would be no discussions of blemishes about such churches. All men are fallable in their minds. Not sure what you mean this paragraph to mean. Could you please rephrase in simpler terms?

Thanks.

I don’t feel that Mary or any saint has the ability to cleanse human beings and make them presentable to God, only Christ can do this, all others are simply help mates to human beings, showing the way to Christ, breaking down the obstacles and leading them to him so he can cleans them in his own blood thus making them presentable to God. This is simply my take on the matter according to what Ive learned about Catholicism so far.

I agree 👍

The mistery about Mary, which the Church regards as “recourse” to Himself, is that there is intimacy with His own plan of salvation in a “certain devotion” with her. However, we are never immune to dark sacraledge when seeking the goodness of Godliness. It actually seems we are more subject to temptation and trials when we get closer to Him. This is our struggle.
