message board cutting down Catholics

ok Kevin and Sir Knight they don’t seem to be taking me too seriously and I’m going to need LOTS of help backing up my claims so you guys can step in anytime, they are beginning to walk over me and I figured they would and they are not even listening and they are quoting the exact scripture that I figured they would and I gave them proof of how they are interpreting scripture to make sola scriptura seem to appear in the bible where it really is nowhere to be found. When you ask them to show you in the bible where the bible teaches sola scriptura you just get a bunk of scripture and total evasion to really answering the question and I’m getting a bit frustrated so I need some major help!!! thanks 👍

yes, I’m on the Catholic part.
I actually emailed a good friend of mine who happens to be a sister at my church and asked her where I could find some helpful info and she gave me some very good sites and she also said to remember these people are very trained in their responses and not to get down on myself if they don’t listen, I’m sure trying, it just doesn’t seem like they listen at all and yes, I’ve got to do some copy and pasting cause I just don’t have enough time in my day to get across everything I want to get across and of course they are having a fit over that, oh, well, I can only do so much and I just don’t have as much time as I would like to put into it with four kids to take care of.
thanks to everyone who is coming over to help, at least we are showing a united front!!! 👍
 
Ok, I’m gonna step back for awhile and just watch, darkknyt is got me to worked up and I don’t want to say something I’ll later regret, but for those who are posting there you are doing so great and I’m praying for each of you and I’m so proud of you, you guys are great and you really know the Catholic faith, I myself and just a mere mommy and I get so darn emotional, I love the Catholic faith and without a doubt in my mind I know that it truely is the one true church and when people are so clearly and totally blinded I get quickly frustrated that they say the same thing over and over but won’t simply answer a simple question such as where does the bible teach sola scriptura, its always the same answer from them, ugh, its so annoying.
Well, I’ve got to get some sleep, I’m exhausted, I’ll be praying for you all .

I got declined as well! And all I did was identify myself as Coptic Orthodox. My screen name was eliz, and my statement of faith was, “I believe”. Wow, they must not let anyone in…which makes we wonder because they have a board to discuss other religions!

Oh well, I wasn’t actually going to talk to them, I was just curious if I would get declined as well!

you guys are all doing so great, I’m so proud of you, you are staying calm and cool, I’m amazed with you guys 👍
They just don’t get it do they? They just don’t really read the posts, they just are so deaf to the truth, so deaf and blind to what is right in front of them, I just can’t get how they so don’t get it and how they continue on with their lies about the Catholic faith, if they could just admit that my goodness they really don’t know squat about the Catholic faith and they will just be quiet and not spread more lies about a faith they simply can’t comprehend that would be great but nope, they just can’t let it go, lies, lies, lies, I just can’t even bring myself to post as I know I’ll get my rear kicked but if I see a place to safely jump in I will but I’m praying for you all and I’m watching several times a day and your all just too amazing, I hope I can learn from all of you 😃
 
I’m about ready to give up. I demonstrated some facts which were favorable to the Catholic faith from an independent, non-Catholic reference source and they still refuse to believe it because they are so prejudice against Catholics.
 
I agree, it is like hitting your head against a wall, I’ve put the word out on several message boards where I have met some excellent defenders of the Catholic faith so hopefully some can add a little more but at the end of the day, we know the truth and really, its just plain sad that they are so lost, all we can do is pray for them, we’ve done the best we can 👍
 
Guys…just remember the words of Christ Himself about throwing your pearls to swine. There’s no point in wasting time on those who have no honest heart to listen. There does come a time when one should just dust off one’s shoes and walk away.The conviction of their hearts is the Holy Spirit’s province.

Not throwing pearls to swine is all very well and good but we shouldn’t let the Catholic faith be misrepresented either. In the middle ages knights laid down their lives by leaving their home to defend the faith. Should we not follow their example? Not to give up our lives in this particular case but to leave our ‘home’ here to visit another board and help clarify misconceptions about the Catholic Church.

Those that haven’t stopped by to comment and defend/clarify the Catholic faith, help is still needed here, here & here.

PS: Church Militant, You’'ve got the ability to defend the faith better than most. I’ve seen you in arguements and most people can’t touch you once you get going (that is meant as a compliment in case it doesn’t come across as one). You’ve done a good job in clarifying the Catholic faith before, won’t you lend a hand now?
