Michael Moore helps out shelter just by posting article on his website

if there is anything at all that can be gleaned from these forums is we are a forgiving and charitable bunch…:whistle:
 
Michael Moore is a liar whose only goal is worldwide socialism. This is a well-documented position. I point people to two sources, Michael More is a Big Fat Stupid White Man (a take on the title of one of his books) and Fahrenhype 911, a movie documenting the lies in Fahrenheit 911. I have no use for such a man will support his radical assault on traditional morality with lies and fabrications. I pray for the salvation of his soul, he who claims to be Catholic.
 
Bowling For Columbine is full of lies too. I am a proud supporter of the Second Amendment. Every single state that has legislated Conceal and Carry laws has seen significant drops in violent crime. More guns equals more safety. That’s just the way it is. There are a lot of fuzzy statistics out there that try to rationalize the numbers, but for every accidental gun death (tragic), there are at least 25 times when legally owned firearms have contributed to the protection of life and property from unjust aggressors. A child is more likely to die by drowning at a beach than by accidental gun deaths. Too bad the AMA includes the death of “children” through age 19 who happen also to be criminals in their gun statistics. Bowling for Columbine is ridiculous.

I am happy animals were helped, but that cannot change my opinion of Michael Moore. I cannot stomach the opinions of liars.

I have never said that if MM supported abortion that it is right! But it made me feel good to see that he posted a story like that amid all of these bad stories we have been hearing about!! And don’t you think that if the president really wanted to make abortion illegal for people to get that he would come up with some way of doing it? I think that he is just trying to keep the support of all the people he can!! And as for child neglect, abuse, killing and sextrade… most of this would have to do with the welfare system not being able to do it’s job because of lack of funds or people to do the jobs. Now wouldn’t that also be because of the president cutting the funding for these programs so that someone can make sure that these things don’t happen?:hmmm:

Well, you’ve exposed your motivation. You are a Michael Moore supporter flat out because he supports the Democrat party. I don’t support him because he supports the Democrat party among other reasons. If we are going to discuss these issues, we have to be honest, and not try to build support subvertly by trumpeting one good while ignoring a bunch of bads.

We could discuss the political issues you mentioned but that would take quite some time. Let me just say that child abuse and neglect goes way beyond those on welfard and the child sex trade has almost nothing to do with the US welfare system.

Hmm… well maybe it’s b/c I find it hard to find someone who supports ALL of the issues I support with the same priorities that I have. For goodness sake, Brad, cut the guy some slack… he’s helping animals. No one here is saying he’s perfect (although I will be the first to admit that I think there is a great big heart inside of that man, whether or not he understands the Church’s view, and therefore my view, of abortion), no one is saying he should become your Bible study leader or our next president. The point is being made that he’s doing something good.

Some people just can’t be pleased…

It comes to mind when we think of anyone starving. I worry when some people put animals above people. I have a dog so don’t misunderstand me. I did not hear a word from Michael Moore on the Terri Schaivo case. I wouldn’t expect to because he seems to have his priorities wrong. He is giving scholarship money to trouble makers that give the schools trouble, and he should be sending care packages to soldiers like you are! He was over in Rome for the Pope’s funeral to begin some movie about the Catholic Church. I won’t hold my breath because he is CINO. I find his actions despicable.

Don’t be fooled by only reading articles that Moore posts. His bias will jump off the page at you. Your mind is better than that.

Can you please post for me the link for where you saw this for let me know where to find this info at, would love to see this. I know he is coming out with a new docu. about the health insurance industry, but that is news to me about the church! Thanks if you can get back to me with this info.

I never had a motive!!! :banghead: All I wanted to do was post a feel good story about an animal shelter that got some good exposure. Everyone else is making seem like I had a motive by bringing in the political part about MM, I never once stated anything about his political stance until everyone else did!!

You sound like a nice guy. Probably best to drop it and move on. A lot of us don’t like Michael Moore much and nothing you can say will change that fact (only he can do that). So move on to other topics, would be my advice.

I know, you’re right! I have tried! Everytime I stop looking at this thread someone else posts something else to me and I ignore it for as long as I can and then someone else will post something and then I just get brought right back into it again! I think I will just take your advise and just ignore this altogether once and for all! I have said my “peace” on here! I wasn’t trying to make anyone MM lovers:eek: on here just wanted to make people feel good for a moment!! So thanks for the advise! You have been quite helpful lately!

Michael Moore is a socialist who hates America. It is really that simple. When he apolgizes for lying and spreading propaganda, I will forgive him. Until then, I just have to pray for him. That is not unforgiving or uncharitable. It is sane.

His heart may be big, but it certainly is not in the right place. And I will not praise a man for his error, even if it is sincerely held.

I am glad he helped animals. Good for him. But all the animals in the world he saves won’t acquit him of advocating the murder of children and the destruction of marriage and family through the promotion of homosexual marriage.

Tolerance doesn’t mean that a man throws out his moral compass.

I just feel that sometimes he does post somethings from the AP news that my local nes or even national news filters out! I don’t think he is all that bad of a person! He is only trying to bring to our attention things that others won’t. And if some of us don’t think what he says is true they don’t have to agree! I for one like what he has to say! I think that he stands for those of us who at times don’t ever really get the chance to be heard! Does that make any sense? I hope it does! Sometimes I know what I am thinking, but can’t quite express it in writing the way I would like it to sound! But really the story is a really good feeling story!!👍

There are worse things than being a socialist, I really don’t see it as being extremely bad like someone being a satanist or something. Even so, MM does NOT hate America. I think it takes a lot of guts and love for your fellow countrymen to do the work that MM has done. Not everyone agrees with his perspective, I’ll give you that, but it’s entirely unfair to categorize someone as anti-American b/c they don’t share the same views as you about what our foreign/social policy should be.

MM’s supporting animals does not replace any bad things he has done, but I don’t think that is the point. The point I have gotten from this thread is that unfortunately no matter what a person does, if they have a bunch of legalistic people who start out hating them in the end the legalistic people are still going to hate him. That’s a shame. Tell me, why in the WORLD should MM be drawn to the Church if no matter what he does, all he receives is hate and judgemental attitudes from Catholics?? My hope is that he comes across some really wonderful devout Catholics who love him unconditionally- Lord knows we all need that- who point him in the direction of the Church’s social teaching.

Until then, how about we let the person who hasn’t sinned cast the first stone at MM.

From what little I know of the man, he, like many on the right as well, is mostly interested in himself and what he can get out of an issue to advance his own self image. I really disliked that fact that he insisted on being paid $35,000 a speech for campaigning for the Democratic presidential candidate. He just smells wrong to me, sorry.

He’s also commited a crime under Canadian law by attempting to sway Canadian voters during a federal election when he himself is not a Canadian citizen or even resident of the country.
