It wasnā€™t intended as a refutationā€¦merely an observation. Iā€™m sorry, Iā€™m obviously not as charitable as you are. Godā€™s still working with me; Iā€™m hoping someday heā€™ll be successful. Admittedly, he has his work cut out for him. šŸ™‚ Especially with my mischevious and quirky sense of humor. I wonā€™t intrude further.

I have never had a real problem with Michael Savage. He has been very supportive of the Catholic Church on many occasions. I havenā€™t listend to him much lately, because I am not in the car when he is on. He rantsā€¦ oh yes he rantsā€¦ about everythingā€¦ liberals, and conservatives, ect. This isnā€™t right though. I have been thinking lately that something is wrong with him. He needs to take a long vacation. I donā€™t even think he likes his job anymore.
I must concur. I myself do listen to Michael Savage, what he said about the Church is deplorableā€¦however, I know people wonā€™t like this, butā€¦I find myself largely agreeing with him, he gave respect to Pope Pius the XII and his valient efforts in saving many Jews. My faith comes before my politics, never the less, at times when people criticize the some mistakes made by representitives of the Church they are justified, I believe he is justified in being angry about the scandal of the molestation of the young ones, I believe he is justified in being angry about the Bishops here in the US breaking with Catholic social teachingā€¦namely granting amnesty to criminals, and defying the sovreignty of our Nation, I donā€™t like the fact that he went on a rant about our Churchā€¦I do think that he does have great respect for the Catholic Church.

Here is an Example** please read**ā€¦I think you will find it quite nice

Michael Savage tips his hat to Pope Benedict XVI as he should

You have to admit his rantings in that article are somewhat humerous, but never the less justified and agrreable.

I avoid talk radio because I think they all make alot of stupid comments.

I enjoy conservative talk radio. Its a much needed counter part to the Liberal NPR. Albeit i consider my self a moderate so my clothes stay clean during the ideological mudslinging.Do i think Savage is justified in his comments? What about Imus? MIchael Richards? Or Mel Gibsons drukent rant about Jews?

Thats funny Savage (a Jew) makes derogatory comments towards Catholics. Gibson (Catholic) Makes derogatory comments towards Jews. Isnt irony a thing of beauty?

Anyways as sensational as him and other conservative commentors may be every once in a while they add something new to the national dialogue that i have never thought of.

i like michael savage. he has some very solid insight on whatā€™s at stake in our battle against the dictatorship of relativism. i think he makes some valid critics against the church. who can deny that most of our bishops in this country are weak and pander to the left? it seems to me that the usccb is at the wrong end of every political debate in this countryā€“especially on immigration.

when it comes to his stand on the catholic church, sometimes heā€™s very pro-catholic, other times heā€™s just ignorant. but, you have to understand that heā€™s a secular jew who happens to be conservative.

sometimes i think he gets too angry though he makes me laugh a lot. i would vote for him as president. at least he speaks the truth and isnā€™t afraid of offending people.

That remark was unnecessary and uncalled for. Remember: charity in all things. Each of us is entitled to our opinion and one may disagree, with charity and without snide remarks.

That can get confusing because of the conservative branch of Judaism.

Did anyone listen to that audio clip? You should

I donā€™t care for Michael Savage (an apt name) but I usually catch a few minutes because thereā€™s a show I like that comes on after him. I always picture the poor man literally foaming at the mouth about to burst a blood vessel.
But he is unpredictable. Tonight they were running a repeat show and a propos of the breakdown of society and why people would rather have material possessions than have children he quoted His Holiness and described Benedict XVI as the ā€œmoral and intellectual leader of the Western world.ā€

I just noticed this thread, and the first thing that I thought was, ā€œIs there anything that this guy hasnā€™t attacked?ā€ I mean, Iā€™ve heard him rant about anything and everything. My brother said he even started yelling at people who donā€™t clean out the microwave after they use it. šŸ™‚

It is easy for critics of Michael Savage to take him out of context; one would have a better understanding if one would spend more than just 5 minutes evaluating him.

I am a catholic in full agreement with the magisterium.

Savage strongly criticizes the democrats and ā€˜liberalā€™ left, but also fairly criticizes the right when they are error. It is irrational to think that the left is 100% wrong and the right to be 100% right all the time. He simply points out when either are wrong (he naturally criticizes the left much more because they, especially in union with logic and truth, are wrong). He identifies himself as an ā€˜independent conservativeā€™ (i.e. instead of a republican that thinks they are always correct and the democrats 100% wrong)

His style is unique, but often not initially palatable for people accustomed to weak, watered-down, commentary filtered for political correctness; he is unafraid to articulately attack the left or anything that isnā€™t in the line of truth. He possesses a PhD from Berkeley and 2 master degrees which says something about his reasoning abilities.

In regard to his outlook regarding this Catholic Church, he generally is very supportive of the Catholic Church and the Pope, but sometimes he justifiably criticizes the Catholic Church and other times (more rarely) he is simply just ignorant of some aspects of the Church. He recognizes as an ā€˜outsideā€™ person and as many of us here at CAF that there have been liberal elements creeping into the Church (opponents of ā€˜some church officialsā€™ can testify here). Itā€™s simply a fact. A truth. We here at CAF are not to hide truths.

Savage opposes abortion.
Savage opposes homosexuality.
Savage opposes relativism.
Savage is pro family, life, and the USA before is became a culture of death.

Mods, please donā€™t take out this post; I mean to present a rational case in all charity.

I challenge opponents of Michael Savage to spend more time evaluating him before making blanket statements about him. I honestly believe he is our friend here.

Savage also stated an opinion that all those who are on welfare should not be allowed to vote because they only ovte themselves a pay raise. Isnā€™t this what our stupid politicians do? This is when I stopped listening to the creep.
