Michele Bachmann Expected to Form GOP Exploratory Committee

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, a pro-life advocate from the state of Minnesota, will reportedly form an exploratory committee in June, or perhaps earlier, to consider a potential bid for the GOP nomination for president.

Bachmann is a conservative lawmaker who has burnished national credentials because of her involvement with Tea Party groups and her outspoken views on pro-life issues. According to a CNN report, she may form the committee — the first official step before a formal candidacy is declared — earlier than June in order to participate in some of the early Republican presidential debates media outlets and interested organizations are already organizing.

Uhhhhh, I hope she can find someone who won’t turn off the moderates.

IMO she has less chance of being elected than Ms. Palin does.
 
There will be jokes. At the very least Ms. Bachmann plays fast and loose with history and has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth. On three separate statements recently she has been shown to be dead wrong.

She has ‘burnished her national credentials’? Hardly. That is a statement from a news organ which does not profess to be even-handed.

Up until 2008 I naïvely believed that the country would not be stupid enough to elect somebody president who was totally devoid of any experience and had no record whatsoever of being able to lead. I thought we are learned our lesson with Jimmy Carter However being minimally competent and having experience no longer seems to be required to be President United States. She sure could not be worse than what we’ve got now.

Anyone who voted for Barack Obama has no business whatsoever criticizing Ms. Bachmann.

I think Republicans will make sure whoever is in the Republican nominee will be the person who has the best chance of beating Obama.

Thats true; they ran McCain/Palin last time around. I’m sure they’ll do the same this time around.🙂
 
She’s not afraid to answer the Liberals. The other Republican members of the House of Representatives are terrified of speaking the truth. The Republican women have more “guts” than the Republican men. Although there are some Republican governors who seem to do ok … the Governors of New Jersey, Wisconsin, Indiana, and a few others.

She can answer i’m sure, but she’ll need to pick someone who will win a few votes from those liberals. The repubs in the House are afraid? The voters just put them there, what are they afraid of? The women might have more guts, but as we’ve seen in the last election the men, and majority of women, won’t vote for them. The safe bet to me is to pick a presidential moderate, fiscally conservative, experienced (older) republican and a vp who is younger and carries a more neo-conservative attitude.

*John Quincy Adams was not a founding father.

*The founding fathers did not end slavery.

*Ethnic prejudice existed in the US against new immigrant arrivals.

*Lexington and Concord are not in New Hampshire.

Now, that’s Ms. Bachmann messing up so far. Those are not slips of the tongue (before you say it) – she had her facts dead wrong.

Well, I disagree.

And, I stated facts, not opinion. So you can refute them or produce some type of counter-argument. But you are not called on to trust or distrust any opinion of mine.
 
The silly season is certainly underway. Just consider the possibilities:

“Bachman for President 2012”
“Trump for President 2012”
“Palin for President 2012”

The thought of these three as Republican presidential candidates just makes me giggle. Four more years!

Michele is too pretty and too smart to be a Republican. However, like Ron Paul, she says it like it is without the Palin obnoxious sarcasm and I could live with her as President.
