@twf It’s a cult of personality, in my humble opinion.
Yes, that’s a good way to dismiss maybe the best presidency in my lifetime.

So be it. Some have their motivations for saying such things as well.

Biblical leaders and others in the Bible were not perfect. So I have no problem with the actual statement.

@sallybutler But (and here I defer to people with greater knowledge than myself) don’t the flawed ones always end up getting their comeuppance?

To classify those who support the President, it be a cult of personality or however it is, would seem to demonize or marginalize supporters of the President.

Do I want the USA to act somewhat responsible in International Affairs, stop the build up or danger of a nuclear North Korea? Yes I do, I guess, I"m in a cult of personality.

Do I want the obliterated Christian community in Iraq and Syria not to suffer? Yes, I do, I guess, I’m in a cult of personality… and by the way, those and other minorities of that area suffered horrors we can not imagine under ISIS. Almost unspeakable to even repeat.

Do I want a more pro-life agenda for the country, not one of late term abortions or even things smacking of infanticide? Yes, I do, I guess, I’m in a cult of personality.

Do I want to see low unemployment rates for all people in America? Less strife in the inner-cities? Yes, I do, I guess, I’m in a cult of personality.

Candace Owens started the BLEXIT movement, a good deal. One could say the same of her as well.

a man with no moral center
Begging your pardon, but there’s no call to say that. You do not know the man’s soul. Possibly God sees your sins and mine as more serious than Trump’s, for all you know.

Then logically, none of us can say that he does have a moral center.

I guess it amuses people to say that. But where I live the vote was over 80% for Trump and these people are far from being susceptible to “cults of personality”, being some of the most independent minded people on the planet. They, and millions of Americans wanted results in a number of ways. He promised results and is delivering them despite all the obstruction by Democrats and their media. If and when he stops delivering, or at least trying to in a serious way, he’ll lose his support. It’s as simple as that.

How else can one describe him then? (You’re right that I don’t know his soul but I can judge his public actions and I think I have a duty to do so as long as he is representing my country.)

I am not even sure what it means to be biblical. But the woman called him godly. I find that blasphemous.

I’d find it blasphemous to vote for someone like Obama who voted 4 times agianst the BAIPA. All that can be said agianst Trump are basically ad homs. They really don’t have anything so, they are just cheap insults.

Then don’t say it. Nobody is requesting it of you.
Totally agree. Quagmires in Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Syria, started by Trump? No

American soldiers not being put on the line unless there is a real duty and commitment to do so.

Again, a great pro-life agenda as well.

Again, low unemployment rates for minorities.

Again, North Korea not randomly threatening Japan, South Korea and other neighbors.

Well, I for one don’t want a nuclear war in Asia and I certainly don’t see that as being moral. Different strokes for different folks.
