As far as covid-19 is concerned, the virus does not care if one is rioting or is engaged in rescuing orphans from zombies. Outdoors and fresh air is the relevant factor to covid.

Its a good message and one young people can learn from …

I wanted to go to school and get a degree in Forestry. I went into the service to earn college money = GI Bill … got married - had kids … the college in my town did not offer forestry - moving family was not an option per my spouse - they said pick something offered here … I picked the career that matched a summer job I’d had right after being discharged … I had enjoyed that summer and the work - land surveying … Graduation came - my preferred employer Forest Service had a hiring freeze …so I went to work for a highway department … I am a registered surveyor today because of one summer and a decision to seek a degree in my home town and I am a registered engineer today because my chosen work place did not offer me a job and another door opened. I have had a great career and worked several places doing various types of projects none of which was what I envisioned back when I wanted that forestry degree …

While I believe I would have been equally as successful and happy with that path not followed - it was my willingness to look around, not demand that my wants receive instant and 100% gratification - everything and everyone else unconsidered - to see other possibilities and then pour my heart and soul into making a new path and a new reality - and perceiving it as a Good that made my career a positive in my life … and that is what I heard in this video 👍

I find the leftist politicians and their media inconsistencies quite revealing: Destructive BLM and Antifa protesters: “good.” Peaceful protesters against the lockdowns months ago: “bad”:






But then the violent George Floyd BLM and Antifa protests, and suddenly social distancing didn’t matter any more.

The risk of death due to Islamic terrorism in air travel is much much lower than the risk of dying from covid-19. Yet for nearly two decades we have endured tremendous inconvenience at airport security when we travel by air just to avoid that one extremely rare event. So since the risk from covid-19 is much higher than the risk of a terrorist airline disaster, you would think we would be willing to endure a correspondingly greater inconvenience to avert such death.

I am in complete agreement with you on that.

I suspect that the airport security is not predicated on fear of flying, but rather the fear that an aircraft can be rapidly turned into a guided missile of immense danger. However, there seems to be a large number of people who either think they are immune to such a virus (for whatever"reason") or are of the mindset that it is no bid deal; it is like getting the flu.

I recently had a person, supposedly reasonably intelligent, tell me it was no worse than the flu… And referred to, I think, 2018 when about 80,000 people died of it.

Duh… 181,951 as of today dead of it. 2,140,614 recovered, and 5,920, 392 infected.

Yeh, just like the flu… not.
 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published a report stating that just 6% of COVID-19 deaths listed the only cause of death as coronavirus and no other comorbidities.
“For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death,” the CDC website reads.

Based on the CDC’s data, 94% of people have died with coronavirus, along with one or more other underlying health issues. The CDC’s Aug. 28 update stated that there were 167,558 COVID-19 total deaths, which means 10,053 died solely of coronavirus alone with no other health conditions.

The CDC’s figures are derived from provisional death counts, which are based on death certificate data received and coded by the National Center for Health Statistics.
