I’m glad that you agree HC lost ,however the biggest reason she is brought up is due to the continual reminder by some here that she won the popular vote! Which then leads to yet another on going debate debate re the popular vs electoral votes. I just really wish people would move on from the incessant ragging on everything Trump. I have yet to hear anyone and I’m speak generally, give him credit for anything. It’s really getting old and is so divisive.:woman_shrugging:t2:
 
Because Trump obviously is worried about a recession, despite what you hear. And he won’t tell you China is getter richer because of it.

He kind of brings it on himself by the things he says, and tweets, and does. We’ve had Republican presidents before, but none of them have acted like Trump. Someone had this to say about him in this morning’s Washington Post:
Alice Roosevelt Longworth, Theodore Roosevelt’s eldest child, said: “My father always wanted to be the corpse at every funeral, the bride at every wedding and the baby at every christening.” That is Trump to a T — minus any of Roosevelt’s redeeming qualities.

Mr. Trump can’t seem to stand not being the center of attention 24/7. And we’ve never had a president before who stretches the truth and tells outright falsehoods as much as Trump.

You won’t. This term and the next are amazingly powerful. Especially since RBG decided not to retire under BHO.

Abortion is a sacrament in the new secular religion. The left will fight for it to the death. I don’t believe for a minute that people really care that he has an irregular marriage or he has said the ‘P’ word. Democrats didn’t care about Bill’s sex life.

Trump has probably two more SCOTUS nominations before he is gone. The left has one goal and try to keep that from happening. There are no holds barred in achieving this goal.

It won’t happen. It doesn’t matter how trivial the complaint, it will be made. It doesn’t matter what good he accomplishes, it will be ignored. The political divisions are not due to Trump hatred. Trump hatred is due to political divisions. The liberal faction thinks of the rest of us as “irredeemables” and “bitter clingers” and “smelly Walmart shoppers” who impede the march to the Eden they think they will create by promoting free abortions and other free stuff.

So in the absence of any real reasons to condemn Trump, they’ll snatch at trifles because he is the symbol for the “irredeemables”, “Bitter clingers” and “smelly Walmart shoppers.”
 
But what about fellow Catholics who seemingly despise him as well?
I have to wonder seriously about the pretzel logic in supporting the Dems over a president who,personal issues aside in far moe in line with Catholic social doctrine then anything the Dems have to offer.
 
Jeanne, it’s not an either / or situation. I, too, am shocked that my fellow Catholics support Trump.

The whole ends justify the means argument to support an adulter who has been credibly accused by many women, including one of his wives, of rape, who lies constantly, who is a bully, shocks me.
 
Seems like Alabama has raised the prolife bar now. They have banned virtually ALL abortions, with heavy penalties imposed on the performing doctors. We will see what SC does with this now. As well as the Republicans, most of them including Trump, who have allowed for exceptions.
 
oh. I never knew that the court have found him guilty. When did I missed that? Please do show me that he was guilty so I can see the results for my self. This is abhorrent. He raped women is a serious crime.
 
Not to worry. Manafort’s forfeited apartment more than paid for it.
