Good advice.Sure it’s on public streets. So what? They are closed for the day just like the local Catholic church has a street closed for its annual fair. The church gets police protection, municipal workers block the street, and taxpayers foot the bill. The pope comes to town and half the police force of New York is deployed.
It’s simple. If you don’t like Catholics or the pope, then stay away when they have a permit to close a street for a fair or parade down broadway in the popemobile. It goes both ways. Just like using the TV clicker.
But oddly enough, by some strange quirk in the Constitution, I also have the right to freedom of speech. Is there a law that says I can’t complain to Miller about what they are sponsoring?
Is there a law that says I have to buy their products?
