Huge numbers of people do that too. It’s actually fashionable nowadays to tout one’s hostility to white people or “the west” (same reference). It’s unpopular to have negative views of blacks or “Indios” (if they’re Spanish speaking) but it’s popular to be patronizing toward them.
I’m not sure how this is in tension with what i said. It’s certainly possible to be a racist against white people, and no claimed that racism is a phenomenon exclusive to white American conservatives.

No, that is better. Ideas can be bad and reflect negatively on someone’s character, unlike physical features. Some ideas are so bad that they elicit justifiable shunning. Someone’s skin color is just a physical feature. They can’t control it and it has no bearing on their character, whereas someone being a Nazi (to take an extreme example) is a legitimate reason to look down on them.
We don’t know, of course, whether that was the cop’s motivation or not.
I have been here a long time. I do not think I have ever seen one of those things said here.
This might be a difference in definition. The new report describes the asphyxia, not as loss of breath, but loss of blood. Either way, the initial one and this one allow for the officer to be charged in his death. I do not know if the exact mechanism will be an issue.
